Clear filters Easy walk to Robin Hood’s Bay
Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Really impressed with the service and organisation at Middlewood. Friendly and helpful staff, had plenty of space for our pitch and being able to park next to the tent pitch is incredibly helpful.
The walk to Robin Hood’s Bay is straightforward, there are several nice places to drink and eat. There also some small grocery shops a ten minute walk away.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Field) May 2025 The location is perfect, secluded enough that you get the peace and quiet, but still close enough to amenities that you can walk there. The facilities were all super clean, the staff were lovely, and the camping field was perfectly flat with plenty of room for each pitch. We'll definitely be coming back!

Quiet, good facilities, friendly reception staff
Small Tent - Small Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Booked for one night as it was much cheaper than the local hotels and hostel.
Facilities well maintained and very clean, staff helpful and polite. Ate at the Fylingdales Inn nearby at staff's recommendation and had a good meal there, short 20 minute walk from campsite down into Robin Hood's Bay and a path directly to the beach.
Will definitely stay again if I need to spend a night in the area.

Motorhome - Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Would definitely stay again, overall very nice site, very peaceful.
The only criticism is that we were on a pitch next to the drinking water and most people walked across the front and down the side of our motorhome instead of using the fenced off entrance for water

Smashing long weekend
Single Axle Caravan - Extra Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Just home from a fantastic stay in a beautiful countryside setting with stunning views. No need to use the car short walk to village shop/butchers/bakers village pub.
Walks direct from site to Robin Hood's Bay or the Cinder trail. Shower block lovely and clean. Can highly recommend and will definitely be back😃

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Field) May 2025 Ideal location with good facilities.
Toilet and shower block always clean. Good area for washing up.

Only my second site visited in my motor home, would definitely recommend it.

Perfect site
VW-Type Campervan - Medium Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Fabulous campsite. We can't wait to return. The location is spot on, with a short walk into the village and a 10 minute walk in Robin Hood's Bay. Lovely welcome off the owner, Peter. Very clean.
My only criticisms would be, would have been good to have a a bin in middle of site to save keep walking to entrance, and for taps to run longer as short bursts of water with one hand isn't great.

We do not have bins in the middle of the field as people do not want to camp near them.
The taps are self closing taps to avoid them being left running, especially the hot taps. We do have plugs in our basins so that you can run some water, to avoid having to use one hand.
Great location
Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Great campsite, excellent location, just a short wander down to the bay through field and woodland.
Facilities were good and plentiful for the busy bank holiday weekend. Only slight issue was our pitch was on a small slope impacting out sleeping area, thing to learn from re: tent direction. Would certainly visit again.

A very nice well kept clean site
Motorhome - Extra Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 A very nice well kept clean site. Just off a bus route and local pub and shops are good. Great location for walking and very quiet on a night. We will definitely use Middlewood again.

Fabulous Easter stay with family friends
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Field) Apr 2025 We are just driving back to the Lakes after a fabulous stay at this wonderful campsite! The location is amazing as it is just a 15 minute stroll down to the bay.
Toilets and facilities were a bit outdated but perfectly clean! The campsite itself was very tidy too and well maintained. you can tell it is a very well cared for site.
The Flyingdales Inn pub was a 5 minute walk up the hill and the food was amazing! It had a little play park too.
We would defiantly recommend the Robin Hoods Bay ghost walk too! The adults and kids found the stories fascinating! Thank you so much!

Excellent location
Motorhome - Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 A short 20 minute walk through countryside to Robin Hoods Bay makes this an excellent choice of site. The sound of bird song surrounds you.
Toilets were clean. Reception helpful. Local shop for groceries. Small play park for children. Dog friendly.
A really great all round site.

Perfect location
Single Axle Caravan - Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 This site is a lovely, well maintained site.
Robin Hoods Bay is a short walk from the campsite. We nipped down a few times during our visit. I also recommend booking Brambles Bistro, which is in Robin Hoods Bay and the food was delicious.
Our pitch was well maintained and the toilet block was always clean. Will definitely return!

My first motorhome trip
Motorhome - Small Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 The location was beautiful and the local pub served excellent food.
The site was spotlessly clean and so were the showers and toilet facilities. The shower block was always well heated and kept in a pristine condition. The site was very quiet, just heard birds and sheep!
It was my first trip out in my new motorhome and the site has set a very high standard for the next journeys out.

Ideall base from which to explore North Yorkshire Coast
Twin Axle Caravan - Extra Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 An ideal location from which to walk or drive to access Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby or Scarborough. Only 10 mins drive out of Whitby, 20 mins to Scarborough or York within the hour.
But more importantly, you have access to fantastic coastal scenery and beaches, Robin Hoods Bay and Flyingdale 10 min walk from site, shops, pubs and places to eat.
Would highly recommend, our second trip and certainly not our last.

We loved it!
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Mar 2025 Stayed for the weekend. Immaculate glamping pod inside and out! Well equipped.
Peaceful and a stone's throw away from Robin Hood's Bay. Toilets very clean and showers lovely and warm.
Butty shop a few mins away provides a lovely breakfast, and there are fish and chip shops at the bay - yummy too!
