What a great place to finish our holiday! Highly Recommended

We chose Little Acre as a stop off on our way back to London from Scotland and it was a great choice! We were met like old friends and shown to our pitch and all the facilities, where the local amenities were including walks and pubs to visit. The facilities were by far the best we experienced of the 10 sites we stayed at during our holiday. The toilets, showers and laundry facilities were hotel standard, absolutely immaculate! A beautiful little park to stay at - quiet, friendly and spotless! Impossible to fault in any way. We will be back without a doubt! Thank you :)

Great hosts super location

Duper site just minutes away from Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale .Bus stop very close to site. Our hosts even printed timetabke for us Free levellers available on all pitches.( As sloping pitches) Extra long hose on tap to enable us to fill up on our pitch. Recommend it

What a fantastic campsite

Had a fabulous time at Little Acre. Paul is a fantastic host, really made us feel welcome and gave us a personal tour of the campsite. Pitch was perfect, shame we only stayed 1 night. Facilities were great, toilets and shower block was spotlessly clean. 20p for a shower, but I thought it was a good idea to stop people staying in there for ages, managed to get a shower in under 2 minutes, even had time to condition my hair 😂 The Crooklands pub/hotel was only a few minutes walk from the campsite and did fantastic meals, roast dinner was like a Christmas dinner. Staff really friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Acre. Will definitely be returning.

Immaculate site, steps away from canal

This was our final stopover after two wonderful weeks touring Scotland. A lovely, pristine, small site with immaculate facilities. Great pub about two minutes walk away over a busy main road. Lovely canal towpath walk outside site gate. Could not find grey waste dump and warden wasn't there until. Other people said that people dropped in on the pitch. A little background noise from M6 but not bad. One word of warning though. Do not follow the Satnav directions if coming from the north. The road is very narrow and steep with no passing places. Be sure to follow the directions from the emails sent to you from the site. Another lesson I learnt.

I've been told previously that if you are coming from the North and your sat nav is set for "shortest route" then the roads that you are sent down and hard work in a car, never mind a motorhome or caravan. Fortunately, most sat navs are set for "quickest route" and the road that brings you 1 mile from Junct 36 on the M6 is very good indeed. Paul

Definitely be returning

Lovely clean quiet site , lovely smiley friendly owners . Ideal location for visiting surrounding areas or just chilling on site .Really enjoyed our stay here , We really didn’t want to leave so we would definitely love to stay again . Highly recommend .

Little Acres

Another lovely long weekend at Little Acres. Such a easy hookup and delightful hosts Paul and Sara who have gone the extra mile to make it a beautiful place to stay. All as good as the first visit.

super site

beautiful Site just of the M6. lovely walk along nearby canal. bus stops are a 5 minute walk away. nice hotel across the road. only 1 shower though.

The shower and loo block that was closest to you was totally refurbished last Winter and has 2 showers in it, plus, we have another new shower, loo, laundry and washing up block on the other side of the site, which has another couple of showers in it, so for next time to have more showers to choose from !! Excellent site, lovely restaurant across the road.

lovely site staff, welcoming, calming and friendly. Paid attention to all details. On site loos etc were beautiful, great laundry and washing up facilities. Some pitches not level, so be prepared with wedges. Perfectly positioned for exploring.

Short stay

Lovely quiet site away from main road Helpful wardens,well kept gardens Near enough to south lakes to visit Leighton Moss and the peninsula Very nice part of the Lakes. Adult only site was a bonus

Fantastic site. Would definitely go back again. The amenities are top standard with complimentary toiletries provided along with washing up liquid and washing tablets for the clothes washer and dryer *****

Great spot!

We stayed the one night at little Acres as we had a kid free night! The site was lovely, well kept, nicely spaced out. The facilities were clean and modern. It was dog friendly and right next to a lovely stretch of the canal! Another bonus, only a 2 min walk from the Crooklands Hotel where had a lovely meal

Lovely, quiet site so peaceful ,amazing views. Best toilet and shower rooms I've ever been in. So clean and smell amazing. Every thing 1st Class, very pleasant and friendly owner, great for dog walks and excellent pub 5 minutes walk away.

The Best

Extremely happy with our one night stay. We would have stayed longer if it wasn't for the fact that we had other commitments. Host was very friendly, super efficient and very accomodating. Site was clean, tidy, inviting and relaxing. We liked the ginger cat at reception too . We will stay again without doubt

Fantastic site

This is our 2nd visit here, and there will definitely be more. It is an adult only site, which suits us down to the ground. The site is just by the canal, so lovely walks. Quite easy to get to Lancaster, Carnforth, Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale and within easy reach of the lakes. There is a nice pub/restaurant across the road. It is a lovely, quiet site, which is very well kept. The toilet and shower facilities are so very clean, with shampoo, conditioner and body wash if you need it. You need 20p's for the shower, for 3 minutes. The shower is probably the best shower we have had on a campsite. We would highly recommend this site and will certainly be back, numerous times.

Beautiful 2 night stay

We had a lovely short stay here :) Site was spotless, as were the facilities! 2 toilets and a shower in the ladies, showers at 20p for 3 minutes, more than enough for a quick shower but I did need two when I had to wash my hair! However, spotless, couldn't fault them, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, hairdryer! Best I've been to by far. Lovely staff, always friendly and spoke as they passed, we also got some recommendations as we were leaving to go elsewhere. Elsan point on site, bins for rubbish, water and electric hook up! The Crooklands Hotel close by was great, food lovely, patio at the back and seats at the front. All in all, a great, relaxing stay, would definitely be back! :)

Great site

Great small site. Lovely location with a bus stop across the road, next to the pub which serves good food (huge portions). The facilities were new and spotless. It’s 20p for 3 mins in the shower but toiletries are provide which is a nice touch and they are spacious, warm & well thought out. Paul and Sarah have done a great job. We’ll definitely be back.

We stayed at Little Acre for one night while visiting family in the area Great little site Staff very friendly & welcoming Facilities spotlessly clean Ideal location next to the canal for walking our dog & nice pub 5 minutes walk away Will definitely stay again
