High House Farm is located in East Portlemouth, just across the bay from bustling Salcombe. This basic site offers five grass pitches with stunning sea views and electric hook up for touring vehicles only. Conveniently located right by the South West Coastal Path, this site is a great base for hiking and exploring the sandy coves of South Devon.

About the site

If you're looking for a tranquil stay in your touring vehicle with great views and plenty of coastal walks, this is just the ticket. The site offers five grass pitches with electric and water hook up for self contained campervans and motorhomes only. Please note that as a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location, you need to be a member to stay here. To access the pedestrian ferry across the bay to Salcombe, meander a mile down the lane to East Portlemouth Landing. There's also an abundance of sandy beaches and hidden coves that can be explored both by foot and car, such as Gara Rock Beach, Lannacombe Beach and East Portlemouth Beach. Keen birdwatchers will be pleased to hear that this site is ideal for spotting the Cirl Bunting, a particularly rare inhabitant. Well behaved dogs are welcome but no campfires, sorry!

For groceries and essentials, drive to the Piglet Stores in East Prawle, just five minutes away. Adjoining the shop is the Piglet Café, serving hot drinks, pastries and breakfasts. Here you'll also find the Pig's Nose, a traditional pub with ales, live music and great food.

Things to do on site and in the Salcombe area

While there are no onsite activities, there's plenty to do in the surrounding area. Why not catch the ferry to Salcombe (leaving every half hour) and check out the shops, pubs and restaurants, or follow the coast path to the golden sands of Gara Rock beach?
