Fantastic

First time camping and we couldn't have picked a better place. Great location to base ourselves. Great for the kids. Good enough that we booked again for next year before we left.

Excellent campsite

We had a brilliant stay at Middlewood Farm Holiday Park. It is really well located less than a miles walk to Robin Hoods Bay. The staff were so welcoming. The facilities and site was set up well. Our dog settled on the site well. We will definitely go back.

Great campsite

Had a really great stay. Bit of a difficult walk to the beach for anyone with mobility issues but the location is amazing. The views are beautiful.

Amazing trip!

This was our first family camping trip and the site was amazing. From checking in which was so easy with friendly staff, to being shown where we were pitching our tent on the field, the facilities were so clean and super close which was a bonus having 3 kids. The whole site was clean, everyone was super friendly. Will definitely be returning again.

Large site, friendly staff, convenient to Robin Hood's Bay

This site is well located within walking distance across fields to Robin Hood's Bay. It was a hot August weekend, so very dry, though imagine it could be very muddy/slippery, if wet. It may also be a challenge for those with limited mobility or pushchairs due to a few steep parts. The farm space was maximised for touring and camping which did impact availability of toilets (5) and showers (4). In the morning and evening there were queues for both. The site indicates other toilets and showers are available near reception, but these are also required for those holidaying near to that area. Helpfully, dogs are accepted though bins for dog waste and general waste were few and far between. On arrival at the site, it was busy and the wardens did a good job of placing everyone and were very cheerful and friendly. The field was reasonably flat though some areas did slope. At over £80 for two nights (2 adults, 2 dogs) and being used to much cheaper and better equipped sites in Europe, it felt a little expensive for a non EHU pitch but it was the height of the school holidays in August. It was a family friendly site and everyone appeared to respect the quiet hours. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would return for the convenience of the location and friendly staff.

Very average site, but expensive

We thought it was quite expensive for non electrical patch of grass. We had to pay extra for our child. There is only one facility block in the main camping areas. While the actual toilets were cleaned, the structure itself in our opinion could do with a deep clean. The field was fairly flat, but pitches were close together. Was not too bad during the week, but became very busy Friday night and had to queue for dishwashing and toilets etc. Host was polite. There were tractors moving through the campsite to access the near by fields to move bales away. Overall, it was located within a lovely area, had walks near by and loads to do, but we felt it was expensive for what it was.

3rd touring caravan experience

It was is a very busy site and the plot wasn't as generous and private as other places I've been, but big enough. The toilets and shower block is a bit dated but was fit for purpose. The shower had a very generous timer on it which made a pleasant change. The walk to the beach was lovely through fields and wooded areas, and it brought you right down to the beach. Although, you would need to be reasonably fit for the uphill trek back, it was definitely worth it. I did notice as few people struggling to find the way to the beach, even though we had all been given directions on arrival, maybe another sign would help. Robin Hood's Bay is a beautiful place and the site was probably one of the most accessible places to stay to it.

Nice but noisy

This campsite is situated within an easy walk of Robin Hood's Bay and a short drive to Whitby. There are nice walks directly from the campsite. The site is professionally run with a reception desk and excellent cleaning. For me, the pitches are too close together. It meant the stay was not very relaxing, as the usual noise of other campers was amplified by proximity.

Family holiday

Excellent stay , family friendly safe , showers and washing up area great , bin area emptied regularly. Everything you need for a great stay Stayed on family field but have other areas

Fab location

Lovely campsite just a short walk from the shoreline at Robin Hood's Bay. Spacious pitches for tents. Plenty of toilets and shower cubicles with hot water.

Site is well maintained

Site is well maintained and very well kept.. each potch is numbered and plenty room, Maybe a little too close to the next tent...shower blocks kept clean and showers hot. A nice base fir touring the area around it

Handy for the bay

Nice big pitch, clean and tidy shower/toilets. Handy pile of bricks to borrow and raise a BBQ. Sadly no fires here. Mostly seemed to be couples, but there is a family field the other side of the farmhouse. Short downhill walk into Robin Hoods Bay. Would stay again

Great location, but sort the showers out

This is a really nice campsite, located very close to Robin Hoods Bay, which is a short walk away through the fields. The campsite doesn't have a shop but a local store is at walking distance. The facilities are clean but the showers are terrible. They are timed. The timer doesn't work every now and then, so you are there wet in the shower waiting for the timer to reset. Most of the time, a shower won't last 6 minutes, so a huge amount of water is wasted as you dry yourself and leave with the shower still running. Who's idea was it? Look, we have been to hundreds of campsites and this has never been seen before. Please upgrade to a much simpler and working system.

Lovely site for a short break

Lovely peaceful site in a great location for walks into Robin Hood's Bay or a short drive into Whitby. The pods have the basics, which is perfect for a short break and the facilities were clean. Would definitely recommend and will be going again.

Great stay

Fantastic compact campsite. Everything you need to hand, clean shower and toilet block and plenty water stations. View of the countryside is lovely and only a short (but hilly) walk to the gorgeous Robin Hood's Bay. We would definitely come back

Very good, one improvement

Great campsite overall, reasonably priced, and is super clean, especially the toilets. With fair few showers, between both toilet blocks. The one thing I would mention is a lack of things to do in the evening at the campsite/nearby area, possibly could be helped with an on site game room or pub etc as some campsites have. Overall, can't really complain, was a lovely weekend.

First time there definitely will book again for next year lovely friendly clean toilets hot shower dog friendly amazing walks and not far from beach 10 minutes walk . enjoyed our stay

Lovely stay

The site is a picturesque 15-minute trail walk from Robin Hood Bay, which is a pretty village with a long sandy and rocky beach. There are about seven places to eat there, you may have to reserve a table. Most places stop serving around 8.30pm/9pm - good to know if you're from a big city! The site has lovely views of hilly fields and a small children's play area. Showers are hot straight away and limited to five minutes. They have a very useful seat, two hooks and a soap tray. There are two free, powerful hairdryers and quite a few hooks around the sinks too. Most sites don't have enough hooks so I was pleased with these ones. The site felt quiet. It could be enhanced with individual fire pits. Thank you to friendly Peter on reception who allowed us to check out a bit later than we should have.
