VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2025

I loved this site which was well located, very safe and my pitch was very private. It was a shame that the high vegetation around the pitch meant there were no sea views. There were plenty of facilities, I didn't need to wait at all, an the site was very clean. Great for a solo female traveller and the layout offered good pitches for families and small groups too.

Medium Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2025

We have just arrived home after 3 nights at this campsite. The site was easy to find. Ann was very welcoming, showed us around the facilities which were spotless. The site is very quiet and chilled. Easy access to the beach and amazing costal walks. We will definitely be returning.

A very enjoyable stay

Small Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2025

I had a pitch in a small field with an electrical hook up. Water was on tap 5 meters away and toilets, showers and washing basins a very short walk around the corner. View was great, Abercastle cove ten mins walk down the hill leading directly to the coastal path. The Spar and filling station is a short drive away. Staff were nice and informative at the campsite. Plenty of room for car and tent. A short but sweet stay.

Single Axle Caravan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2025

We stayed in our touring caravan alongside our another caravan/pitch in our family. We had a huge pitch in the field nearest the facilities and the children played for hours. Anne was always on hand, and seemed to be endlessly cleaning the showers and toilets which were spotless. The location was great, 8 mins walk down to the beach and drivable to porthgain for fish and chips in the evening :)

Very helpful

Small Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2025

Great quiet location albeit a little uphill from the village (only mattered after an 18 mile hike along the coast path). The owner was most gracious and helpful and gave me a lift to the local shop for much needed supplies for that evening and next day's hike - would have been in big trouble without her quickly offered and executed help. Very grateful indeed! The facilities are plentiful and fantastic, Mike

Small Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2025

Great location very close to the coastal path. We had a warm welcome on arrival with friendly instructions on where everything was on the site and how to use the facilities. Everything was clean and well organised. The site is great with each pitch having it's own picnic bench and 'fire pit'. Also we liked the fact that the pitches aren't on top of each other and there is plenty of space between pitches for privacy.

Great site

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2025

Well laid out campsite with plenty of space per pitch and very close to Abercastle. The toilets and washing facilities were very clean and easy to access. The site manager was really helpful and met us on arrived (even though we were later than we'd intended) and gave us a full tour. I'd stay here again and definitely recommend it.

Perfect little site for walking the coastal path

VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2025

This is a perfect little site. There are only 12 pitches and they are enormous - surrounded on three sides by high grassy banks so you feel completely private and sheltered. Having your own water tap, fire pit and picnic table was brilliant too. There are glorious sunsets and lots of birds. The facilities are all clean and Annie takes a massive pride in the green credentials of the site so rubbish is well handled. Best of all is the location - ten mins walk to Abercastle cove and the coastal path. The Strumble Shuttle bus stops here so we walked three big stretches of the path by using the bus to ferry us back and forth up the coast. Only thing to note is that there is no shop or pub within walking distance so you need to be pretty self-sufficient.

Perfect spot

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2025

Great find. Anne was more than welcoming and with just 12 very large pitches, it was perfect. Facilities were simple and basic but very clean and all that was needed,. Location was spot on and 2 minute walk to the sea. Shame there is no pub in Abercastle. We will definitely return.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)Aug 2025

Stayed for couple of days at Anne's campsite - lovely and quiet with well kept grounds. Simple clean toilet and shower facilities. Walking distance to the coast path and beautiful harbour. The pitches are private from neighbours and have a picnic table and fire pit. Had a lovely evening watching the bats flying overhead while having a beer by the fire. Good pub food nearby in Mathry at the Farmers Arms. Will definitely return.

Anne the owner was absolutely amazing always around checking if all was ok with our stay. Plots were mainly very private on your own with banks separating each plot. We had a shared plot but it was so big made no difference. Very hot water and site was immaculate with friendly guests. Ty Anne we will be back.

Thank you Matthew for your lovely comments and I appreciate you taking the time to write this review. Great set up you have. Lovely to meet you both, although you are on my naughty list as I hate not saying goodbye to guests. I came up and you had gone! Enjoy the rest of the summer and I look forward in welcoming you back another time. Regards, Anne
