Stayed here for 9 days during Scotland's stormy weather. The site is kept spotlessly clean, even with muddy feet and wet weather. Showers, toilets and laundry all in perfect working order. Camping kitchen well equipped and great to be able to cook outside of the van. Staff very welcoming and helpful, always busy doing something to keep the site looking great. Nice walks along Union Canal and shops within driving distance. Quiet site with no noise at all and pitches spacious and level. Loved my stay here.

Clean facilities and friendly and helpful staff. Well stocked shop, nice showers and well kept site. Easy walk to a pub (The Grapes) with great bar food. Handy for airport.

Lovely site, friendly staff and very clean facilities. We did the park and rode tram into Edinburgh and it was so easy. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future.

stayed here for two nights beautiful clean quiet site. The public toilets are spotless clean as with the showers It was lovely seeing the planes fly overhead as near the airport. parks were well maintained for children and the site was also dog friendly the only thing I would suggest is a place to sit and have a meal especially when you arrive on site rather than a takeaway as when you arrive you don't want to cook. It was also good that you could hire a bbq although we didn't. Also there was designated area for doing dishes if needed and a laundry.Definatly stay again and recommend.

This campsite exceeded our expectations. It was lovely and quiet, the staff couldn’t be more helpful and happy and it was very well looked after. It was apparent the staff take great pride in the site for their customers and nothing was too much trouble! The pitches were lovely and spacious, ideal for the kids! A special touch for us as a family was the access to the family room, bathing the kids kept the kids in somewhat of a routine and that was so valuable for us! Would highly recommend a stay here. Facilities are brilliant. Well done Linwater. We will be back soon!

Really nice campsite, toilet facility was immaculate with modern decor. Not much to do in the surrounding area on foot, but are only 10-20mins away in the car. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Only negative would be the toilets close from 12-3pm for cleaning. Gates also close after 6pm, so ensure you have the barrier code to hand if arriving after 6pm.

Please allow me to clarify, the toilets are scheduled for cleaning between 12pm - 3pm every day, however, it does not usually take the cleaner 3 hours. The facilities are cleaned one at a time to ensure that there is always a toilet and shower available. We open up the family bathroom that has a toilet and shower as well as the disabled access facilities. As you will have noticed when you stayed, we hold a very high standard of cleanliness to ensure all guests have a comfortable stay. Many Thanks, The Linwater Team

this site is a hidden gem. perfect location for exploring Edinburgh and beyond. spotless facilities, best toilet block I've seen, kitchen room with everything you could need and more. books, games, wii for public use. can't think of any down points! we will be back!

All is very good on this site. Great showers and also, the communal kitchen is a great idea. Was a great location for Edinburgh and the park and ride. Would definitely use site again. Only downside for us was only that there's only one laundry washer and was never available to use, which was a bit inconvenient. Electric hook-up was too far from camper but we were able to borrow an extension lead. We were told that these issues are very soon to be rectified.

This site is one of the best sites in terms of facilities, cleanliness and a friendly reception, we have ever visited. All facilities available for all you require. A room with kitchen facilities available to all, and has a kettle and microwave also to use. Even had a Wii game and a selection of board games and tables and chairs to use. Small shop on site, and even has a laundry. Shower/toilets exceptionally clean and separate with men and women entrances. Highly recommend.

This site is immaculately clean, with brand new toilet and shower facilities. We had a warm welcome on arrival and the campsite leaflet is factual, with local information for food, sightseeing, transport etc within four miles of the park and ride Bus and Tram service into Edinburgh. This was so useful we bought a day pass. The actual campsite has a beautiful woodland walk, which we used to exercise the dog and appreciate the scenery and a nearby aqueduct. The only criticism was the noise from the aircraft landing at Edinburgh, which is quite close and was noisy in the morning. However, I advise you put your earplugs in. Would definitely revisit this site.

I wish I could give an 100 star rating because it was magnificent. Good pitch size. The location and walks were beautiful. It was central to Edinburgh and for trip to Stirling. It was peaceful with no rowdiness, just a beautiful stop. Please disregard what I say as don't want to let everyone know we found an oasis? Big up to the staff, who were friendly, polite and helpful. I applaud you all and it speaks volumes.

Chose this site as it was convenient for an event we were attending. Spacious pitches, super clean toilet and shower facilities, excellent kitchen and washing up area. Well stocked shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to attractions and eating places. Will use this site again and will recommend it also.

Great camp spot to use as a 'basecamp'

We rented a motorhome for a Highlands holiday over Easter. Linwater was just round the corner from where we picked up our vehicle so it acted as a very convenient 'basecamp' for us. Facilities were great and the staff were friendly. We'll definitely be using Linwater as our 'motorhome basecamp' for future trips to the Highlands.

The first site to get 5 stars for everything. The shower facilities were like a premium gym, clean and tidy! Location was great but we didn't stay long enough to explore laundry services. Looking forward to our next stay!

Host came out in the rain to let me in and show me where my spot was, a great start 😀 Grounds are well maintained, facilities are immaculate and the nearest town is but a few minutes drive away - plus there are several options for delivery.

A great little site on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We stayed as a break on our way back down from the Highlands to the Midlands. Best showers ever, very clean, lovely and warm shower block. Great fully serviced pitches. Very dog friendly with great walks from the site. We will be staying again on our travels in Scotland.

Another fabulous holiday! This is a great place. Wonderfully close to Edinburgh. Excellent staff and superb facilities - what more could you ask for? First location where, as a tent camping family, we didn't feel second best to the caravan crew. Same excellent facilities to service our tent as they had. Great having water and electric hook-up right by the pitch!
