About the site

A peaceful glamping site for families and couples, just five minutes from Carnwath and 15 minutes from historic Lanark. Surrounded by woodland, the site is home to friendly sheep and chickens, with fresh eggs often available to buy. Guests can unwind in the onsite sauna or let little ones roam free in the play area. There are two fully furnished bell tents, each with a double bed and two singles, complete with bedding and towels. Inside, you'll find a camper's kitchen with gas, electricity, heaters, free WiFi, and power sockets. Outside, you can enjoy a decking area with seating, a BBQ, and a hammock. Both tents include a hot tub, with the regular bell tent offering an electric hot tub and the deluxe option featuring a wood-fired tub. Also onsite is a cosy static caravan, equipped with its own hot tub. Visitors can enjoy the communal fire pit, BBQ, and seating area. The surrounding area is ideal for outdoor adventures, with cycling and hiking routes leading to Wilsontown Ironworks (15 minutes), Falls of Clyde Viewpoint (20 minutes), Cockleroy Hill (35 minutes), and Pentland Hills Regional Park (35 minutes). For family fun, visit Five Sisters Zoo just 20 minutes away. Campfires and BBQs are allowed, provided they are raised off the ground and monitored by an adult. The site is pet friendly however, dogs are not allowed in the bell tents

Onsite, guests have access to shared bathroom facilities with toilets, a walk in shower, and underfloor heating. There is a washing up area, a playground for children, a seating area, a shared BBQ/ fire pit, plus a communal barrel sauna. Free WiFi is available onsite. Guests can also buy eggs onsite when they are available.

If you fancy a bite to eat, there are plenty of pubs surrounding the site, including the Mason Arms (5 minutes), The Last Shift Braehead (10 minutes), Inn on the Loch (15 minutes) and The Crown Tavern (15 minutes). A local cafe, Errington's Barn, is also a 15 minute drive away.

For everyday camping essentials, a local Co-op Food is within a five minute drive or head 15 minutes to Lanark for a Tesco Superstore, Lidl, or Morrisons.

Things to do on site and in the Lanark area

Lanark town (15 minutes) is a historic market town with plenty of cafes, bars, and restaurants to enjoy, with Lanark Loch just a 20 minute walk from the centre. While there, don't miss New Lanark, an interactive mill museum surrounded by rivers, waterfalls, and scenic trails.

Keen walkers and cyclists should explore Wilsontown Ironworks (15 minutes), a heritage site, while golfers can stop off at The Moor or Lanark Golf Club (20 minutes). Falls of Clyde Viewpoint (20 minutes) is also nearby, offering waterfalls and peaceful spots to relax in nature.

Families will love Five Sisters Zoo (20 minutes), home to rescued animals, a soft play area, and a cafe. A little further afield, Cockleroy Hill (35 minutes) offers panoramic views after a short but rewarding climb, while Pentland Hills Regional Park (35 minutes) provides extensive walking, cycling, horse riding, and wildlife spotting opportunities.

For an even bigger day out, head to Muiravonside Country Park (45 minutes), a 170-acre wooded park with forest trails, a mini farm, a playground, and plenty of space for picnics. And if you fancy a city break, both Edinburgh and Glasgow are within an hour's drive.
