One night in a tent
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Nice camp site and great to be able to walk to the beach from there. Facilities clean and everything you need. The shop was handy too if you forget to bring anything. If there's one improvement I could say it would have been nice to have a social room/area to hang out in but all in all a lovely campsite.

Beautiful views over the bay. Very accommodating owner, allowed our late arrival (9:30pm) no problem, and let leave the trailer on the camping field after check-out while we got breakfast back in Charlestown!
Top site, we'd stay here again when back down this part of the country.
Amazing views
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Arrived safely and phoned the number to be clearly directed to our pitch with an available free map to assist.
All facilities within walking distance of the pitch and the view was amazing.
Lovely pitch with some degree of privacy, felt a little close to others but everyone was polite. A nice dog walking area and access to an amazing beach for breakfast, this is not a dog beach through the summer months but we crossed it to get to the cafe and that seemed an okay thing to do as we kept to the edge.
Amazing walk on the South West Coast Path back to Par which is a dog friendly beach and has three food stands in the carpark (which seemed reasonably priced at £4 for the day for those who wish to drive there). Buses available to get into the surrounding areas available.
Slight downside. Shop was never open, despite ringing the bell so it was back to the rather expensive garage up the road.
We did not realise there was a safer route along the side of the road on the other side of the hedge, but once we clocked that it made things a little easier for a walk back to the garage as the road is rather busy.
Children's birthday party, they were rather excitable but calmed down around 1am and were up again rather early the next day; oh, to have that energy!

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 A lovely site. Well kept and quiet after 2200. Always helps when the weather's great. Good sized pitches with electrics and water. Shower block and facilities also really nice. Thoroughly enjoyable time on a great site.
Campsite with fabulous views
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 Great location with fabulous views. Walk to beach is about a mile lots of uphill on the way back but ok if you can walk. Only negative for us was our electric hook up had so many others plugged into it we could not get our hot water to work.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 we have just had a really lovely 3 night stay at Penhale and will definitely be coming back. The toilets and showers were so clean with plenty of hot water. Such a beautiful location and a good base for a walk to the local beauty spots.

What a gem of a find
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 We have been to many sites with our campervan and I have to say that this one is up there with one of the best.
We were on a grass electric pitch (No35) which was level, we had our own water tap. The pitches are generous with plenty of room for our van and canopy with plenty room to spare. The views out over the coastline are amazing.
The shower and toilet block were cleaned daily, bearing in mind that it was half term and a bank holiday we found them to be very good.
We didn’t visit the shop during our stay as we had no need to. The walk into Fowey took us 40 minutes, we followed the map instructions that we were given on arrival. The walk into Polkerris took us 20 minutes.
All of this was made even better because of the beautiful weather.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Lovely site, perfectly situated for Fowey. Well defined pitches with plenty of space.
Clean facilities - only lost a star because other site we stayed on was spotless in comparison and the water wasn't very hot but just adequate for hair washing. Lovely walk down to Polkerris and great views of the sea from the site. A little road noise but not enough to spoil our enjoyment.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2025 Lovely site in a fabulous position overlooking the sea. We didn't go to the farm shop, but I read they have lots to offer.
Good hot water in the shower, on a push button system set too short, so spent all my shower keeping the water going.
The outside site was very clean, ladies facilities needed more regular attention to cleaning and restocking.
Great pitch with a view
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2025 The check-in was easy and the pitch was huge. The view was amazing and everything was within a 20 min drive including Eden Project and Lanhydrock (NT). The showers/toilets were clean.
The only issue we had was the electric hook up on our pitch was surrounded by over grown brambles and nettles, which was a quite annoying!

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 We absolutely loved it here! We loved the view of the sea, the facilities were spot on for a campsite with the welcome addition of a hairdryer and somebody meticulously cleaning during busy times.
A small shop has all you need and if we'd been there longer we probably would have tried the burger van. Easy walk to Fowey and relatively budget friendly cab ride back (£12) or there is also a bus. Also a high quality pirate ship climbing frame for the toddler.
We will be back and hope for a repeat of the stunning weather!

Great campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Fantastic little campsite where the campsite owners have obviously taken onboard suggestions and requests from guests, the campsite was clean, easy going with easy road access to the beautiful fishing village of Fowy.
The facilities were clean and tidy, and water taps are accessible across the campsite, with the staff being hospitable, helpful and friendly.
The only thing that I could say was an inconvenience and not so much a complaint, was that the showers had a push button that last only a couple of seconds each time it was pressed, but other than that, they were in good working and were cleaned daily.
I've added this campsite to my favourites list for when I return to Cornwall in the future. 4.5/5 from me 😊
Simple campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 The site was well located with easy walking to Fowey and Polkerris and a handy map from the site with directions to both places.
The site had everything needed, a toilet and shower block, a place for waste and washing up area. We camped and the camping field was on a slope. It was very informal in layout, being able to choose our own place to pitch as long, as it was not close to any other tents.
The site was good value for the price paid, we would probably choose to go back here in the future.
Penhale with sea views
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Lovely site very large pitches situated between Par and Fowey. Children play park area. Burger van and shop on site too.
Site was almost fully booked whilst there but didn't notice and so much space around, not on top of each other.

Will definitely be coming back here in the future and highly recommend the site to everyone!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Clean facilities. Showers were a good temperature but didn't stay on for very long. A bit longer would be appreciated.
We didn't see any staff except the cleaner. Although we had a number to contact if we needed anything.
There was a burger van on some nights. We didn't use this but there were plenty of customers using it. We stayed in the non electric grass field. It was kept well although a bit uneven so with a van you would need chuck blocks.
Good value and great location.
