Great facilities
Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 Location was perfect for what we wanted. Climbing at Robin Hood’s Stride and Cratcliffe. Also bonus find of Druids cave and Rowtor Rocks. Loved Stanton Moor a short walk. Facilities were great just a little far from tent but it was a busy weekend.

Fabulous
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 We went for a family fun weekend with a group of friends and a lot of children from primary and secondary school age. Everyone had a fantastic time. Staff were helpful. Site was clean.
The toilets a showers were clean however, some could do with better temperature control. The entertainment they put on was fab also. Great time had by all. No complaints.

Staff were very relaxed. Regular emptying of bins.
We came for the family fun weekend and really enjoyed it.

Large Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 Lovely spot - it was their festival weekend and even though it was busy, the facilities were super spotless and clean and there was no litter anywhere!
Stalls were great and children seemed to be having fun. Would recommend. We were in the overflow field which seemed one of the flattest options.

They could have sold way more pitches but chose to keep it more peaceful.

Fantastic weekend
Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 We didnt realise we had booked a family festival weekend but it turned out to be amazing. Great atmosphere, good live music, food vendors and bar were great and it had a lot on for the children to keep them entertained.
Basic toilet and shower block and a very well kept campsite which proved popular. We would definitely go back especially when they have their special weekends on but would also take our children with us next time
Lovely family weekend
Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 This is our second year of attending the family weekend and we love it!
Staff were really friendly and helpful on arrival. The site was clean with plenty of pitching space. Lots of bins and water points available. Facilities were well signposted and regularly cleaned.
There was lots for the children to do and keep them entertained.
My only suggestion would be some sort of designated 'road' on the big camping field to help with the number of cars and children.
We will definitely be back!

The site is well kept, clean and has great amenities.
All staff were friendly and helpful.
We will be back again I'm sure.
Family festival
Large Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 Very family friendly, lots of space for children to play together. Good clean facilities, well managed and they make sure that people are actually quiet at the designated times.
We were able to choose our own pitch and camp next to friends.
Family with older children
Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jul 2026 We've been camping at Barn Farm since the kids were little. They're adults now. The atmosphere on the weekends is great with the live band and food vendors and then you get the lovely tranquility in the week. Loads of room for activities in the family field and so many great walks (and pubs) within a 30 minute drive. Cracking holiday.

Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jul 2026 Highly recommended site, I took my daughters and the site is welcome and friendly. We did go through the week but plenty of room and the family area was great. Facilities are clean and well maintained and lots of room for all. They are all super helpful and friendly. The view and the location are ideal
Feedback there isn’t a shop or much in the village, but a shop on site does the job it would be nice to be able to purchase local produce such as bacon etc
The push button system can be tricky in the showers for children but it’s workable
Fire pits to hire would be a nice addition but respectfully i understand why the site may choose not to allow them
A gem of a site in stunning surroundings
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2026 This was our first visit to Barn farm but definitely won't be our last, the touring caravan pitches are spaced well apart in one of the prettiest fields we have ever stayed on, facilities are clean and never seemed too busy and the.staff were really friendly, a definite must visit site.

A great campsite
Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 A very well thought out campsite. Lovely views, good facilities. Two pubs nearby, a good bus service, pizza and breakfast vans on site, which were excellent. We didn’t try any of the walks from the campsite as we went to Matlock on the bus. It was a very enjoyable visit. We look forward to returning.

Absolutely perfect!
Large Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Jul 2026 So far this has been the best campsite we have had the pleasure of staying at. The staff are all amazing and helpful, everything you could possibly need is there, food truck, toilets, showers, shop, laundry and game room etc! It’s really spacious and perfect location with many trail routs nearby. Absolutely loved our stay and will be booking again.

Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jul 2026 This is the second time we've stayed here and, honestly, this campsite never fails to disappoint!
The peacocks are lovely and keep the kids entertained, the alpacas are great, the park is fun for the small ones and the walks around are beautiful. The "family" facilities are amazing. The normal ones are well kept and maintained but best avoided when DofE kids are in residence (too many hormones, although kept well in check by the site staff).
Would definitely recommend and stay again!
