About the site


Tucked in the Highlands hills, this family friendly site has ideal access to the great outdoors and the city centre, just ten minutes from Inverness. There are non electric grass pitches suitable for tent campers, with a range of sizes available. For caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents and trailer tents, there are also electric grass pitches with 16 amp hook ups. With these pitches, tents can be a maximum size of 4m x 4m when staying with a vehicle. There are electric hardstanding pitches available for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents. If you are looking for more amenities, the site does have fully serviced pitches that include drinking water and grey water facilities. Those looking to take in the Highlands with a bit more luxury, there is an ensuite glamping pod that sleeps two onsite. The pod has a full sized double bed, private toilet and shower, sofa, hairdryer, fridge, TV, kettle, tea and coffee supplies and free WiFi. There is also a private outdoor seating area to enjoy the views. Enjoy a hot coffee and breakfast sandwich at the onsite cafe in the morning whilst the kids can enjoy the enclosed play area. There is also an onsite BBQ hut to enjoy, with basic cooking utensils and indoor seating. Fires and BBQs outside the BBQ hut are not permitted. Dogs are allowed to join you on the camping and touring pitches, but are not allowed in the glamping accommodation.

Site facilities include a heated facility block with separate men's and women's toilet and shower rooms. Shaver points and hair dryers are available for use in the facilities block. There is a half bath and baby change area for children up to school age and a dedicated disabled washroom close to the designated pitches.

There are private wetrooms that include a toilet, sink and shower, available for exclusive use for an extra charge per night. A sheltered dish washing area with hot and cold water sinks, a small shop providing basic amenities and a laundry room with a washer, tumble dryer and iron. Free WiFi is available.

A BBQ hut with a grill pit, cooking utensils and indoor seating is available to book for an extra cost per night. The pricing includes all equipment, condiments and charcoal, open from 5pm to 10pm every night.

An onsite cafe provides hot drinks and breakfast items in the mornings and pizzas later in the day. They are made to order for guests to enjoy both eat in and takeaway. The cafe is open for breakfast between 8am and 11am.

There is a Nisa Local, a 20 minute walk away from the site and The Blacksmiths pub is available for food and drink every day, just a 30 minute walk. The closest bus stop is less than a five minute walk from the site and has good connections to Inverness. Inverness is the closest train station to the site, a ten minute drive away.

Things to do on site and in the Inverness area

This site is ideally located for exploring the Inverness area. The famous Loch Ness is a 30 minutes drive from the site and offers a fun day out with boat tours, kayaking, canoeing, bike hire with cycle tours and great views of the Loch Ness Castle.

The Moray Firth coastline is a great place to visit to see some sea life. With the Inner Moray Firth (10 minutes), you can often spot Harbour seals are also a common sight, hauled out on mudbanks and sandy shores. Further towards the sea (25 minutes), you can see harbour porpoises, white-beaked dolphins, minke whales, pilot whales, and killer whales can sometimes be seen.

Set up on one of the outer coastline's sandy Nairn Beach (25 minutes), and find out what the water has to offer.

Head into Inverness (10 minutes) and take in the historic cathedral or find a route following the River Ness that cuts through the city towards the sea.
