Brilliant site, in the middle of nowhere. Quiet, quaint, and friendly, staff were perfect, and very helpful. The ground was a bit rocky underground to get the tent pegs in, but that could just be that one pitch, and we overcame that. All in all, an excellent site, and they offer yurts and log cabins. Campfires are allowed, as are BBQs. What more could you want in a campsite?

We had a lovely stay in Clover yurt. The campsite was clean and had nice shower and washing up facilities, communal fridge and freezer. And access at a cost to a washing machine and drier. Our only criticism would be that the yurt cost a lot to keep warm during our stay. As did the hot tub.

In a campervan on a grass pitch, with electric plug in. Hardstanding would be so much better. The guys who greeted us were polite and friendly. The showers were hot and kept clean, bearing in mind a lot of people do not clean up after themselves. Overall for what we paid, this site was great value. Oh and the shop is a plus.

Accomodation was great fun with wood burner for the yurt and hot tub. The yurt was designed for 6 (which would be a squeeze) but for the two of us was perfect. The yurts are best for family groups or very close friends. Staff all amazingly helpful. Facilties a little basic, but they plan to do some big upgrades over the winter so this would be well worth a visit next season.

A lovely quiet site. The only issue at all was access as the area has very twisty tight roads, so be prepared! Otherwise, would highly recommend. Helpful staff, safe, everything there that you need.

Not what I was expecting - thought the location was closer to the lakes and the log cabin was basic. We enjoyed the log fire, BBQ and hot tub. The bathroom facilities were poor - two toilets and showers for men and the same for women. This does not accommodate the whole campsite very well. A bit dirty, but expected at a campsite. The bathroom a long way from the cabin and did not enjoy the walk in the middle of the night.

A quiet, child friendly site. Clean and welcoming and very pet friendly. Hot tub and yurt very clean. Yurt would benefit from outdoor cooking space as the small lodges have.

Nice farm campsite run by a lovely couple who are really helpful. Good shop, well stocked. Clean toilets and powerful showers - only 2 in the women's but never had to queue. Plug sockets for hairdryers and Charing (£1). Good pub a 5 min drive away (The Derby Arms). Would definitely stay again. Yurts also on site and the whole campsite had a nice, cool vibe to it.

A great campsite, and a great location that is close to the Lake District for a trip into Bowness-On-Windermere and a local pub nearby. Good facilities with our pod, we got everything we needed. You just need to bring a tea towel but everything else is provided and there is a shop on site if needed! The bed was comfortable and there was enough space and seating for two with a dog!

Lovely staff and very helpful Great little shop online and very reasonably priced Clean, hot, powerful showers. Not too big so even when full, it didn't feel too busy, Next time, I would request the area I would like to pitch up, as we were I'm a slight dip, which meant we got wet when the rain poured all night! Would reccommend and go back :)

Beautiful campsite set in idyllic location. Facilities clean and functional. Small shop that sold essentials - but only open for a very short window of each day. Would have liked to have sampled an evening meal at the local pub but had to be back on site for 8.00 - there was parking for the van after 8.00 but this would have meant we weren't with the awning - perhaps a later time to close the gate would have been preferable.

This is a really nice campsite - great location, nice and quiet, owners very friendly. The shop is convenient and sells a good range of essentials (including Marshmallows!) My only negative is that I booked a "Premium non electric grass pitch" which was advertised to come with a picnic bench, fire pit and starter kit. I didn't receive the starter kit (which to be honest is no big deal, as I've only just realised now after reviewing my booking) and the picnic bench is shared with your neighbouring pitch - which if I'd known, I would have brought a table. I think it would have been great if I knew this beforehand. That doesn't detract from what a nice site this is, that is well laid out and super convenient - I'd happily come back and would recommend.

Our second visit to this site but we had the worst weather (2 days rain) and one of our party was in a small tent. But the yurt and tent were dry and the camping field showed no signs of flooding. The site is a small one (20-25 pitches) and the staff/owners are super friendly. Great welcome and days there (recommend the lakeside railway, aquarium, motor museum and Donald Campbell exhibition (good for kids) and the amusement arcade and trampolines in Morecambe). Toilets and showers are clean (need more hooks!) and lots of hot water. Well stocked farm shop - we will be back!

The setting in this sheltered quiet valley was perfect for our first outing with our newly restored VW campervan. She attracted a lot of attention and she looked so different out of our tiny garage. The campsite itself was clean with great shower facilities and a well stocked shop in a yurt. The staff were lovely and helpful. The location too was great for exploring the south Lakes. Think we will be back!

Very enjoyable stay on a small, quiet site. Everything required for camping is provided including a fridge and freezer, and washing facilities Owners were very friendly and helpful. I heard a family who had turned up with some things missing and the manager was only too helpful to sort them with the things they needed. Only drawback to this site was the very tight roads, which is mitigated by its very quiet location and it also has very quick access to the M6. I would recommend this site.
