This little site is a find if you like both walking and like to be near small towns. Site is well kept and staff all friendly. Toilets and shower kept clean. Pods on site if you haven't got your own unit. Dogs welcome. Water and electric to each pitch. What's not to like. A brilliant idea to combine ports and camping sites. Good access to site when arriving and leaving the site. Easy to check in. Loads of local pubs currently in the area . Golf course within walking distance along the promenade. Will book again.

Small size but nice location and a short walk to the beach for the dog. Only downside is the limited toilet and shower facilities where there was a queue most of the time. Portobello pizza restaurant highly recommended.

First time to the Lake District. A great base to get around. Everything you need near at hand. The Nelson pub, Portobello Wood Fired pizza and the Lifeboat Inn - all good pubs and good food, great staff. The Marina Cafe next to the caravan site serves great coffee and breakfast. We're here from Cardiff and have thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Very clean site. Very quiet. Showers & toilets very clean. Lovely food in the onsite café. Within walking distance to Maryport. Downside were barking dogs left in vans.

Great location, superb facilities but the wind made it horrendous, great British weather at its best.

The was booked for our first outing. We arrived at 7pm and were allocated a lovely spot just opposite the marina. There's a nice shower/toilet block which is very clean and warm. Good facilities for washing and rubbish removal. There's a café on site which serves a lovely breakfast and is open between 8am-4pm. Easy walking distance to town where there's a B&M and a Lidl for those forgotten necessities. The pebble beach is very close with lovely walks nearby. In all, a lovely site with really nice staff, I'd definitely go again.

What a find this site is, with stunning views of the Marina & Solway Firth. It is a great location for touring the area with Allonby & Silloth-on-Solway only a short distance away. The site is spotless, the toilets and showers were lovely and warm, even in the middle of the night. It is only a 10 minute walk into town where there are plenty of places for food and drinks. We particularly liked the Lifeboat Inn and the portions are huge & great value. We would definitely recommend Harbour Side and are already booking our next visit

First time here on a stopover up to the Scottish Borders. A lovely site and team, with clean and warm facilities. Bonus, there was clean water on the pitch. The café on site for breakfast was a bonus. A lovely cheerful team and beautiful harbour setting. This is a good site to stop at. We will definitely come back here.

A fabulous little site in a unique and interesting location, sandwiched between the small commercial harbour and the marina in this quiet part of Cumbria. The facilities are modern and clean and there is the fabulous, dog-friendly Marina View Cafe on the site. Lovely coastal walks both north and south of the harbour entrance as well as pubs and a few shops in the town.

Loved this campsite, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were well looked after and clean. Right by the sea with a great walk, along the front just a step from the site. Large green space in front to walk my dog. The fish and chips at Cross Quays were very good. It was close to the lakes for hiking.
Amazing stay!

Winds gusting up to 50mph and torrential rain, so not an auspicious stay. Facilities are super clean but sadly not enough showers and toilets when it's busy. Came home early due to foul weather and today the sun shines. Staff are lovely 😁
Loved it!

I will definitely be returning. Lovely little quiet, clean site. On site café. Overlooking the marina. Lovely sunset. Location good for what we wanted. Great little chippy which serves delicious fish 'n' chips (but only accepts cash) and cooked to order so be prepared to wait.

You could not fault the campsite it was very clean and the staff were lovely. We went into town for fish and chips which were first class, but not a lot more to say about the town.
Unique spot to take a break

This campsite is in an amazing and unique spot. The surrounding marina is a joy to see every day, fresh fish from the harbour when a small trawler docks. Some nice walks to round off a lovely break.

Lovely little site in easy walking distance of friendly seaside town. The staff were really friendly and gave good advice on local dining options. Short walk to local pubs with good food and drinks at great prices. And really good local dog walking too.
