Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesAug 2024

Nicely laid out, spacious site with good size pitches. Easy access off M6 and good location relatively close to Pooley Bridge and Keswick. Site facilities were spotlessly clean and of a good standard. Small park to keep young children entertained. Excellent value.

A lovely week

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2024

First time we've stayed here but won't be the last. Lovely site, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice dog walk with bins. Nicely laid out site, made attractive with plants and flowers. Toilet block with toilets and showers - water always hot and good pressure. Hand and hair dryers. Small wash up block with sinks and washing machine and dryer. Pub about half a mile away (walkable along country lanes). Shops in Penrith or Keswick (both around 15-20 mins away). Easy to access site from A66 and a good location for visiting the Northern Lakes, North Cumbrian coast or to venture over the border into Scotland. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already talking about a return trip.

Camping Pod - Camping PodsJul 2024

Spent 6 nights at Beckses Caravan Park with my son. We stayed in one of their pods and we loved it. The staff and family who run the park were all very friendly and helpful. The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were the cleanest we've ever come across. The location of the site is also very convenient, just a 15 minute drive to either Penrith or Keswick. From our pod you could see Blencathra as well as other Wainwright Fells and Ullswater is a short drive away. All round, a fantastic site which I would highly recommend.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2024

This was our very first trip in our new campervan and I don't think we could have picked a more perfect site. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The toilets, showers, laundry and waste disposal areas were kept immaculately clean. The site was very tidy, with manicured grass and flower bed areas. Our hardstanding hook up pitch was a really good size with quite a gap to the next pitch. The Herdwick pub is just a mile down the road, which had a couple of cask ales on that kept me happy, and both of our meals that we had on Saturday night were beautifully cooked and of a good portion size. Yes you can hear the A66 behind the site during the day, but on the night time, the road quietens right down and once in our van, we heard nothing. We will definitely be back, as we were already regular visitors to the Lake District, and this site is in a perfect spot to use when visiting. Oh and the express bus from Penrith to Keswick and Cockermouth stops about 300m from the site, so transport links are great too. Thanks again for making our first van adventure so unforgettable.

Great site. Clean and tidy with lots of hot water for showers, dish washing etc. Very quiet and peaceful, apart from the faint road noise from nearby A66.

Camping Pod - Camping PodsMay 2024

We stayed 3 nights in a pod with the intention of getting in some climbing. The site is within 10 minutes walk of a great friendly pub that served great food. The pod was spotless, as were the showers and toilets. Lovely hot water with taps, no pushing buttons. Highly recommended.

Camping Pod - Camping PodsMay 2024

Location was good, only a short drive from Keswick and Pooley Bridge. The only down side was the noise from the road, but it wasn't a major issue. A quiet little site with basic facilities but immaculately clean toilet blocks. Pod was cosy with a double bed and two singles, a kettle and microwave. Would definitely return for another weekend away.

A great location, just off the M6

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesApr 2024

Only started using your site since ceasing membership with one of the main brands and pleased to say I have found more freedom with the likes of these little gems. This site is a great little find. Peaceful yet close enough to a pub and to the main sites of Keswick and surrounding areas. If planning a climb up Blencathra then this site is a must as a stop over as you can see sharp edge from the site on a clear day and only 3 minutes from the start of the climb. Will defo use again as our 2 night stay in April was a spur of the moment so will use this when available in the Summer and Autumn months. Check in easy and on-site staff extremely friendly too. Thank you πŸ™ to the team of staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at the site. It's in a lovely location. There is a great pub nearby which serves food. You can easily catch the bus either outside the pub or at the end of the road for easy access to Keswick or Penrith. The facilities were fine, everything you could need.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesApr 2024

A good little site. The weather didn't help, causing the grass to be very wet and muddy. The hard standing pitches needed new stones and a general tidy up in places. New paint etc. would improve it, but the facilities were clean enough for our short stay.

Peaceful place. Stayed over Easter bank holiday. Perfect location to get to other places. Not far from Pooley Bridge or Keswick. Also, not too far from Ambleside and Windermere. No issues whatsoever and had a small play park. Perfect for all types of people.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesNov 2023

Just had a beautiful 3 nights stay. It's very late in the year and still had the laundry room showers and toilets open and staff still working to keep the site clean and tidy. The staff were lovely and very accommodating to the need to use the internet for work purposes. Will definitely visit again 😁
