Clear filters Great first family camping trip
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field) Jun 2025 Great first family camping experience.
As a family, we've only been camping at a couple music festivals, not a purpose camping/holiday site. We chose Freshwater primarily for the outdoor pool for the kids, but rest of the site didn't let down.
Quick check in process and clearly marked pitches, so had lots of space and didn't feel crowded (compared to festivals). Shower and toilet facilities plentiful and clean, along with washing up facilities and an on site shop, which was really helpful.
Topped off with great views of the coastline and walking distance to the beach, which was fun. Will be looking to come back for a weekend trip very soon

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 Brilliant site, loved our stay, we were camped in the main field which was fine however we felt that we were packed in quite tight next to the tents.
Everything else was perfect. Could do with extra bar staff when busy.
Looking forward to our next stay. Brilliant walks/facility if you have a dog!!

It is a large site but is very clean and well kept.
Brilliant site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field) May 2025 We had a brilliant 4 night stay with our kids (10,12 and 13). The outdoor pool was a real highlight, the staff were relaxed yet helpful and the facilities were excellent.
Touring VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field) May 2025 I don't normally choose large sites as prefer peace and quiet, but booked there as was taking my two grandchildren and needed activities.
The site has two swimming pools, one outdoors one indoors. The pools were fine, but the indoor one needs to be booked in advance so you're not guaranteed to get in when you want and you only get an hour.
My main dislike was that dogs were being allowed off leads around the tents/vans. Twice I had a dog jumping up at me. Also, not everyone is happy to have dogs in the restaurant, have them in a separate area if they must come, and make sure signs that say no dogs are adhered to. I saw a woman in the ladies toilets with a dog.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field) May 2025 Short break, well marked out pitch, electric and water nearby. Lovely clean and spacious showers. Great pools, quiet at this time of year.
Enjoyable and relaxing stay
Roof Tent - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 I'd suggest that when quiet, this is a great place to stay, but I suspect if really busy, the facilities would get overwhelmed. Not sure both bars could take a full site.
That said the pitch was well maintained, facilities were good and serviceable, if not a little tired. Staff on site were brilliant.
We would definitely stay here again.
This place was amazing
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field) May 2025 Just fantastic all we wanted.
This place was amazing but we did have a long weekend of wall to wall sunshine. Staff in the office were really helpful, just a nice vibe about the place, the beach was stunning too.
We will be looking for the good weather for another long weekend.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field) May 2025 A very spacious site with lots of different types of accommodation. We stayed in our campervan and were very pleased we visited.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, and there are lots of different types of entertainment, and a very well stocked Spar shop.
We will certainly visit again, in the future.

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 We stayed in our touring caravan lovely site can't think of any points to criticise.
So good we wanted to stay as a seasonal pitch that is so popular they have a long waiting list definitely would recommend and I would not hesitate to go again.

Only negative points is pitches are overcrowded and a bit noisy at night.

The outdoor swimming pool was a nice touch, our girls loved it! We didn't visit the entertainment as we spent most of our evenings in Bridport. The walk from your private beach to Bridport is stunning, we'd done this every day!
The toilet and shower block were cleaned regularly and staff were so helpful and friendly! Well stocked shop and children's playground! 5 star site.

Lovely swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub. The best Spar shop we have ever seen, it has absolutely everything.
Nice bar and entertainment every night with different visiting food caravans. Couldn't fault anything and will return.
