Great site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Great site, shame no pub near, but we were camping so tins it was.
Really nice site will return in the near future. Many thanks to all the staff, a most enjoyable stay.
3 night stay
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Positives - Terrific value for money site. Ian was extremely welcoming with a well stocked little shop for basics and treats.
Negatives - WC cubicle space made it slightly difficult to access with such large doors. Disappointed that the quiet site (10pm - 8am) rules were not observed by some parents with their children. Woken up twice very early. Noisy, screaming children! This is not a criticism of the site, more of society with a lack of empathy for others and a lack of understanding that tents are not sound proofed. Maybe a degree of separation for families and couples could be considered.
Also, slightly disappointed by the telephone contact when we knew, due to traffic on the motorway, that we would arrive after 6pm, to be asked if we had read the T's and C's. An accident on the motorway couldn't really have been foreseen when we booked.
Overall - recommended!

Amazing little find
Jun 2025 We wanted to get away from life for a few days with the kids (9+11), my partner is always left to find the campsite and he booked this and we are so glad he did.
Kids didn't stop running around, playing and making friends from the minute we got there to when we left, felt safe letting the kids play and go to the little park - goal posts and footballs provided. A little shop on site and games room. The toilets and shower block were immaculate and the washing up area was immaculate too, with washing up essentials already there. Use of tumble dryers and freezer.
The staff were very friendly, the grounds were immaculate too, bins emptied regularly and grounds check for litter too. We didn't want to leave this morning, and on the plus side you're allowed a campfire. We will be returning.
Great site at a good price
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Lovely campsite! Immaculately kept with a small play area and a shop. Reception staff at the sister campsite shop/reception were friendly and helpful and we were able to buy some essentials to get us going.
Quite rural so be prepared to drive if you need anything above basics. We only stayed one night one so not able to say about walking routes. Easy drive to Dorset's many attractions.
Good value for money, good pitches, would recommend.

Football pitch really was a bonus extra.
Beautiful campsite

Fridge and freezer use, launderette, nice shop with basics and biscuits. Kids area and goalposts alongside a games room are a nice touch. Toilets and showers immaculate.
We'll be back!
Noisy but okay

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Great campsite. I would stay again. Staff very friendly and close to Weymouth. Plenty of showers and toilets. Small playground for kids. Nice shop for essentials.
Nice site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 A lovely small quiet site. Spacious pitches and a short drive to the local amenities.
The toilets and showers were fine, never had to que to get in them, they could do with maybe a mid day clean as they can get messy, especially when it rains.
The truck that comes on a Saturday to serve curry is a nice idea to break it up, but the curries are not amazing.
My only advice would be for the staff running the site to be a little bit more relaxed when people arrive on the site and go to join friends who have already checked in. I was marched straight to reception to check in and pay, when half of my bookings was already here and had paid for their pitch!
A Dorset delight
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 From the warm welcome on arrival, to finding a quiet pitch for my tent and I, the proprietors of Buckland Campsite couldn't have been more helpful. The site is beautifully kept and excellent facilities available. The level site has far reaching views over open countryside and easy access by car to Portland and Weymouth. This will be my go to campsite in Dorset!

Very clean site, nice and flat and easy placing in relation to toilets/showers.
Clean facilities. Nice little shop and games room on site.
Very welcoming to our dog, as were all the dogs on our field. Perfect for families, and couples. An easy drive to Weymouth - sea front about 10 mins away.
All in all a very enjoyable stay, and would visit again.
Quiet camping

Superb experience
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 This was the first camping experience for majority of my extended family members and the site exceeded our expectations.
Most pertinently, the washing facilities have had washing liquids and sponges - never seen that before. The site is only 10-15 min away from beautiful coast of Weymouth with easy access to supermarkets and online takeways. Ideal for a group like us who wants to have a camping experience and need regular access to amenities we have at home.

Had a nice stay
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Overall, we had a nice stay.
Our likes were that the service staff were really friendly and helpful. Good location near Weymouth and lots of beaches, things to do locally. Corfe Castle is definitely worth a visit. Site entrance gate has ANPR, so it opens automatically for the car.
Our gripes were that the showers and loos were pretty small and not very well ventilated. The pitches are quite close together so large tents take up most of the room you have available, and neighbours are right next to you.
Friendly campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 The owners running the site were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The facilities were in in clean working order continuously (hot pressured showers and washing up water).
The site is child friendly with a little park and a good space for children to play football. The pitch sizes very reasonable (we have a large tent) and had lots of room.
The laundry machines were very reasonable priced compared to other sites I've been too, they also provided washing lines for another drying option. I would've liked to have a better shop on site, a selection of food or a bakery or food vans mid week ect. No alcohol sold on site either, but otherwise, no complaints at all!
It's a perfect location not far from te town or Weymouth but set in the countryside with surrounding fields and farms.
Overall, a very lovely site that we will definitely be returning to.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Location was great, easy access to shops, beach & days out.
Owners were great, friendly & helpful. Facilities were regularly cleaned from offsite contractors. Shop on site had minimal supplies.
Only criticism I have are the toilets. When the doors are opened, they almost touch the toilets! It was difficult to get to the toilet & shut the doors. You had to almost step over the toilet to be able to shut the door. I came to realise this was probably why the toilet seats were all loose, from being kicked trying to lift your leg over them. Anyone who is bigger would struggle to get in or out around the door. My teenagers even struggled. My only saviour was the unisex toilets. If they weren't there, I would have gone home.
Also, the showers are in a trailer, and could do with more ventilation. Hot days were unbearable in them & I nearly passed out on 1 occasion from being too hot & stuffy.
