Nestled between forest and heathland with a secluded feeling, Clayford Field Camping is a family friendly pop up site just a ten minute walk from a pub. There are a number of grass pitches for tents and tourers, with plenty of space for all. Relax onsite in peace or enjoy a day at the seaside, you'll be just a half an hour drive from Bournemouth and the sandy beaches of Sandbanks and Poole.

The journey to the campsite was quite adventurous, we thought that the navigation system had lost its way, but we simply trusted it, and it eventually led us safely to the gate. The best part was that we could arrive late in the evening; we received a code for the gate and were allowed to choose a spot. We slept peacefully and had the best Wi-Fi ever, although we were right next to the restroom facilities, I'm not sure about the rest of the field. It's a very large campsite, and when we were there, there were only a few people. The showers and toilets are basic but nicely done and clean. There's nothing to complain about. However, if the whole site is full, I imagine there could be very few available, but maybe many people shower in their motorhomes or trailers. The whole experience was super uncomplicated, and we had a restful night while passing through.

Lovely quiet field, pitching up where you liked. Toilets & showers basic but clean with hand soap provided at hand basins. Washing up area had cold water only which was fine as I heated my own water. Would definitely go again.

This site is really quite a gem! Incredibly large space to pitch whatever size tent. Lots of space for kids, quiet after 10pm. Lots of friendly campers. Sam, the host, was wonderful and quick with dealing with some 'over energetic' tourists one night, which was reassuring. The toilets and showers always had loo roll, it was easy enough to ask for more if necessary. It's a nice drive into the woods, lots of people were walking, bike riding, just having a wonderful time. Fire pits also available if you wanted! I met the best neighbours, who were wonderful to pitch up next to me. The sunset was stunning each night. Really, for the price too, it was phenomenal. Such a blessing! I highly encourage anyone looking for a site to stay here! And of course, being in Wimborne, only 20-30 mins to the sea!
