Set in the Forest of Dean, Hawthorne Cottage Caravan Site offers a peaceful adult only stay with direct access to woodland walks. There are just ten electric hardstanding pitches for campervans, caravans and motorhomes, each with a 16 amp hook up and free 5G WiFi. Enjoy wildlife spotting and scenic dog walks, with an onsite dog/pet/bike wash. Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves are just a five minute drive away, with the Wye Valley within ten minutes!

We had a delightful stay at Hawthorne Cottage campsite. Everything was better than we could have asked for! Easy to follow directions, peaceful location, great welcome from Bev. We will definitely be back!

The owner (Bev) was very welcoming and gave us suggestions of places to visit and things to do. We were given some maps and one was a walk through the forest into the village, a great cafe and lots of history as we walked the loop back through the forest to the campsite. The facilities and grounds were to a very high standard giving plenty of room for each pitch. We shall definitely revisit.

We try and get away in our Motorhome every month and the Forest of Dean was the ideal distance for a November stay. The first 3 days was beautiful but then heavy rain followed. The grassed areas were very soggy but the hard standing pitches drained very well. The location is brilliant for dog walking in every direction. Bev, our host is brilliant, a mine of information and so helpful. The facilities are very clean and due to be refurbed in the new year. We will return in the spring or summer. A lovely, well kept, 10 pitch, adult only site.

We arrived just before dark in the pouring rain, but Bev insisted on coming out to check we were ok. She gives confidence that nothing would be too much trouble for her if you needed anything. The site is really well kept, clean and tidy and very peaceful. There are only 10 pitches and each plot has plenty of space. Forest walks begin right at the gate to the property, ideal for dog walking with well kept quiet tracks. Would love to come again.

Bev was a great host, with advice and local knowledge. The site is immaculate, the facilities clean and just enough, our plot with added bonus of bird feeders. Location great for walking and biking, no need to drive anywhere. Will be rebooking. AMAZING 😍

We stayed for one night with our dog, and loved it! Bev was a great host and clearly takes great pride in maintaining the site and keeping everything in top top condition! It’s in a great location for lots of lovely walks, with some pubs within walking distance for dinner and a couple of shops in Bream. The site was also super dog friendly, and our dog was made to feel very welcome!
