We had a fully serviced pitch and requested one near to the toilets and showers, they accommodated our wishes by giving us one of the nearest. The pitches are of a very good size, although you will need heavy duty pegs if using an awning. We liked the new system for obtaining the electric to our hook-up, as this worked out cheaper for us than the usual sites we visit. Would fully recommend the site and will use again.

Beautiful campsite in a gorgeous location, we loved it - thank you!

We loved everything about this campsite. The location, the layout, the trees and bushes between pitches making it not seem just like a caravan parking lot. All the staff seemed very chilled and I've never been to a campsite that was so peaceful. Hearing owls all evening and a huge sky full of stars made it feel very special.

Lovely campsite

We had a lovely stay at Hill farm Cottage, staying in the Shepherd's Hut. Campsite was beautiful with very green lawns and the hut itself was perfect, super clean and had everything we needed. Showers and toilets were always immaculate and really enjoyed the walk through the woods to the pub. I'd definitely recommend this place and am very keen to return!

Perfect for kids and dogs

Lovely campsite. Showers and toilets very clean and modern, lots of waste disposal points and a lovely walk for the dog from site. Only 15 min walk into the village, which was great as didn't need to use the car at all. We were lucky to be in sight of the playpark so could keep an eye on the kids. It's a small site but very well looked after and friendly staff too.

Wonderful time away

My husband and I stayed here with our daughters (aged 10). It's the first time we have used our Caravan as a holiday away. The campsite was just wonderful, so much room to park our caravan with ease, easy hook ups and water access. Toilet and shower facilities are very clean and tidy. The campsite itself was very clean and tidy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We shall be looking at coming back again next year. Thank you Hill Cottage for making our mini break a fabulous one 😊

A lovely family camping trip

The campsite is lovely with an easy online check in service. The bathroom and shower facilities are clean and well serviced. The children's play park is a great central meeting point for the kids to make friends. The shop is well stocked and the on-site Thai takeaway is really great. Our best night was a walk through the woods to the local pub and back, on the way back the children loved walking with the torches - a real adventure!

Wonderful camping experience

We definitely recommend the campsite! We had a lovely time there, very quiet and peaceful. The natural trail to walk your dog is perfect!

Had a great time

Family of 4 and 2 dogs had a wonderful 4 night stay here. Definitely one we will be returning to. Clean, hot showers, freezer to keep ice blocks frozen, park for the kids. Safe and secure so no worries about going out for the day. There is also not a bad pub nearby. The New Forest is beautiful, definitely one of my favourite places in the UK.

Perfect site, especially for dog owners

Stayed for two nights on a serviced hard standing pitch. The location of our pitch was perfect, with the added bonus of privacy hedges all round, which for us was great as we have three dogs. We popped up a couple of wind breaks just for added privacy. The pitch was plenty big enough with room to spare. A lovely quiet site with everything you need. We absolutely loved the fact that there is a great dog walk on site. This runs the perimeter of the site with gated access straight into a huge woodland. Here you can let your dogs off lead. We were amazed by the amount of dog poo bins on and around the site. This is very rare! 3 great fishing ponds that seem well stocked. Facilities cleaned very regularly, and the guy cleaning them was very friendly. Office staff were very helpful, we forgot to bring our camping chairs, and the lady got straight onto the Internet to find a local stockist. Free Wi-FI is also rare on any site, thank you. The information room is well stocked with books, dvd's, magazines and even board games and outside games to borrow. Nothing has been over looked at this site and at such a bargain price. Cannot fault and will definitely return.

What a beautiful place to stay

What a stunning place to stay. This place is one of the cleanest and well kept parks we've stayed in. We highly recommend visiting Hill Cottage Farm. It was nice and quiet with just the right amount of essentials on site. Beautiful walking paths and a little play park on site. Very nice shower and bathroom facilities that were regularly cleaned and well maintained. The staff were so very friendly and always approached with a smile. There was all sorts available to borrow in the information room such as badminton rackets and board games. Books to borrow and maps of the area which was just a great touch. We had electric hook up and our pitches were well labelled too. We loved how easy check in and out was all online and the map to the pitches were easily followed. The surroundings were all well kept with bushes all trimmed and neat. The grass was freshly cut and not one scrap of rubbish or litter found which was just amazing. The price was also very reasonable at £60 for two nights stay electric hook up for a tent. We are eager to get back and stay again!

Fabulous Stay in the New Forest

Myself and my family stayed at Hill Cottage Farm in May 2024. The site was easy to find, well maintained and easy to navigate. The pitches were also very well maintained and we felt relaxed straight away. It was quiet and had lots of amenities which where of a very high standard. We ate at the onsite thai restaurant on the Saturday night and the food was fabulous. I would highly recommend this for so many reasons as everything was great!

Recent Visit

Love the automation, sometimes you do not need the Hi de Hi treatment, just arrived and park up, log you elect online and all go. Lovely site, good facilities and pitch size made it not feel full. Good walks and fishing available, dark skies at night too. simple on site shop in case of essentials. Will be returning soon.....

Weekend Away

Play park needs more equipment for children. Washing up block could do with another washing up drainer. None of this would stop me coming back again. Wi-Fi is weak

Good, but thought it was expensive

We stayed with granddaughter for a long weekend, she enjoyed the small playground and horses and donkeys in the forest. Campsite's facilities nice and clean, great option take away on site. For electricity, you have to pay on top, which we felt made the stay more expensive then other sites.

Worth an off peak stay for sure

Very very pleasant campsite. Wouldn't use it in peak season as I don't believe amenities would cope with a full site. Clean and very approachable staff. I didn't think the campsite shop would offer enough when in peak season but there is a Co-op 5 mins away. Pub was nice but I do not recommend ordering from Just Eat as we had an absolutely shocking delivery!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I hope I can reassure you that in peak season we add more stock to the shop and the amenities do cope. We have 2 shower and toilet blocks which are regularly maintained by the team. I think Just Eat have only just reached us, they will be bringing the food from at least 6 miles away and look to only currently have 2 options. We have on site Thai restaurant and takeaway which is all cooked freshly to order and offers a couple of children's options too.

Fantastic site

We had 3 fabulous nights at this site and we will be back. The new toilet/shower block is lovely and clean. The showers were nice and hot and there was a hairdryer in the ladies toilets. There is also a family wet room. The shop is not too badly stocked for essentials and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. We did not have electric hookup so unable to comment on how that worked/lasted. Fordingbridge is a lovely little town.

Brilliant!!

We had an amazing time .. so peaceful and relaxing, nature at its best. The site was clean, the grass cut, and the garden tendered. We couldn't fault this site. On our first night, we had a problem with our hook up lead, I contacted the wardens out of hours and they were amazing. They let us borrow a lead until we could purchase a new one the next day. If we had anything negative to say, would be the lack of goods on offer at the shop, maybe more in peak season? Definitely be back. Many thanks, Hill cottage G&C Wilson

Beautiful site

The campsite was amazing. So clean and tidy. Best facilities we have ever seen. The staff were lovely and helpful. Would definitely use again.

Quiet site and easy access

Excellent site. The pitches were nicely spaced out, with hedges between. Toilets and showers were very clean. We didn't use any electricity so didn't pay, but understand you can just put £2 on to start with if you're not sure how much you'll use. Moor Valley Park is a fab visit and not too far. Great location and great site.

A very comfortable camp

The first campervan we rented broke down, then the second; the third got us there a day late. Hill Cottage Farm were very understanding and helpful about our troubles about having to constantly log new number plates on the ANPR system; and when we got there, the rest of the week was wonderful. I would recommend Hill Cottage Farm to anyone, and hope we can stay there again, soon.
