Get back to nature at Setthorns Campsite, nestled in a secluded location in the New Forest National Park. Tucked away in the forest, guests can enjoy wildlife spotting and easy access to a network of walking and cycling routes. There are no onsite facilities, with a selection of grass and hardstanding pitches to choose from, as long as you have your own chemical toilet. The beach and Beaulieu are also within a 15 minute drive.

Stopped for 3 nights to visit flower show at Beaulie. Chose a hard standing electric pitch in high spec area. Plenty of room for our camper van. Took a porta loo and toilet tent. Unable to put up a wind break as brought wrong pegs with us and area is stony. No facilities on sight but with porta potty it was fine. They do check on arrival that you have toilet facilities with you. Able to walk to sway for a meal about 20-30 minutes walk to The Silver Hind and also ate at hare and hounds but further on but can walk it or take car.

Was really nice being in the woods with the mix of the wildlife. We saw deer, squirrels, robins, was so lovely to be so close and the bike ride trails were excellent…. Some very nice pubs on route too!!

Setthorns is undoubtedly a peaceful location - the downside is that there is nothing within walking distance, it's a 30 minute bike ride to the nearest pub and about the same in the opposite direction to find a shop. The premium pitches are large and well spaced, but the included picnic benches are well overdue replacement. Considering there are no toilet or shower facilities, the pitch prices seem on the high side, but if tranquillity is what you are seeking, then this site certainly delivers that.

Stayed overnight on grass pitch with no electric in our camper and had the whole area to ourseves with the exception the pony`s wandering through , absolute heaven , definately a camp site for adults who like peace, quiet and woodland , no kids , no beer gardens with play area and the fact theres no toilet/shower block make it that bit more "wild" . Great place to stay and bring the dogs and of course a bottle or two of wine !!!!

A beautiful site in a beautiful location. Easy to walk to the local villages and a short car ride away from great tourist locations. Will be back in the summer.

We only stayed here one night but enjoyed our stay. We arrived later than expected and reception was closed so we were worried we wouldn't be able to get in, but the reception team had left a note and map for us in the post box, which was really helpful and very appreciated. The campsite itself is beautiful, it really feels like you're in the forest, very peaceful and quiet. We found the water/electric facilities easy to find and use. Great campsite.

What a lovely 'off grid' experience. Staff were friendly and the walk into Sway was easy. We plan to visit again.

Arrived in the dark but easily found our pitch. Beautiful, peaceful and the sun came out over the whole weekend. Lovely walk into Sway and had lunch at the local.

Perfect for an 'off-grid' stay but with the convenience of electrical hook-up and water/waste facilities. No showers or toilets so make sure you plan for this. But super peaceful.
