Lovely site

Three adult ladies, one 13 yr old teenager and two dogs in our group. We were greeted with smiles and lovely Amber when we arrived. Rob showed us to our pitch and gave us some tips on the local area. Lovely site with new shower and toilet block, new pub area and the delicious ice cream. What more could we need 😀 We will definitely be booking again next year.

Peaceful site

The site was rural and quiet There was a bar which had live entertainment and a bbq The parlour served breakfast and good coffee the ice cream was delicious

Brilliant

A brilliant 2 night stay at Solley's! We arrived and were greeted and shown to the pitch by a friendly man who gave us opinions on things to do places to eat. The bathrooms were lovely and clean, all were ensuites which had toilet, shower and sinks in one cubicle, making things much easier. Located within the fields which had lovely views and a brilliant ice cream parlour, within which was great value for money. The pub was a great touch too which was good value for money! We definitely would stay again.

Great campsite

Great young, family friendly campsite. Ice cream parlour is a must and there's a pub onsite too. For the little ones, there's tractor rides and a maize maze. Shower, toilet and hand basin in individual shower rooms so no sharing needed. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The site was a little noisy the night we stayed as there were two parties going on, but it was still lovely and music finished at 9. Very friendly and welcoming staff upon arrival.

Midweek break

Great friendly site. Took our great grandchildren, they loved it. Only downcast was narrow lanes to get to site. Having motorhome made it quite difficult. Other than that, no complaints at all.

A little gem

Lovely location and nice and small, so very friendly. Nice pub onsite.

Amazing stay!

We had a lovely stay. The pitch was bigger than we thought. Shower rooms were brand new, so lovely and clean. Pub was nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Ice cream parlour was great. Excellent choice of flavours, nice and clean and again, staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the added extras, the tractor ride and the Maize Maze. We were welcomed onto the site by Robin, who proved to be very helpful. Our car battery unfortunately drained. Robin and his wife went out of their way to help jumpstart our car. Only negative was when using the shower, the water would go all over the floor. The small glass screens are not long enough. Maybe a shower curtain would be useful as, after a while, the floor could get ruined.

Good value, good stay

Had a fab 3 night stay here. A good base for many places to visit. Awesome groundsman (didn't get his name), who couldn't do enough for you. Lovely to have an onsite pub, staff lovely in here too. Our only criticism is not enough showers and not so sure that combined loos and showers work. Could do with an indication from the outside that the loo/shower is in use, as people kept trying the door all the time. We didn't try the maize maze but it looked fun! We also didn't visit the onsite ice cream parlour but tried the ice cream elsewhere, delicious! 😁

Beautiful place to stay

Excellent place to come and stay with a caravan / motorhome, or just camping. This is our favourite site in Kent this year! Well worthy of 5 stars.

Lovely site set in beautiful countryside

We have just come back from a great time, my 2 grandsons have enjoyed the freedom to ride their bikes and make lots of new friends. They enjoyed the tractor rides, the maze and delicious ice cream. It was very relaxing for us adults. We will definitely be going back.

Great Site

This is a lovely site and an ideal place to stay to explore the area or in our case, to catch Le Shuttle. The staff are lovely and very welcoming, and though we didn't get chance to sample the ice cream, their breakfast was very good. The only downside was their new ensuite toilet block, though spotless, they had problems with some of the doors not locking, hence the 4 stars but I'm sure they will soon have it sorted. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet site with large pitches and clean sanitary facilities. Warm welcome. You can end the evening with a pint in the cosy pub.

Amazing little place

A cracking little site located on the Kent countryside. Great staff, especially Rob, the groundsman, who takes care of the site and supports campers in locating their pitch. Added bonus is the on site pub with a real family feel to the place. You won't be disappointed I promise, we will for sure be returning soon.

One night stopover

Perfectly situated and very organised with plenty to do. Absolute paradise at 5am, no noise and simply idyllic! Wish we had booked more days, next time definitely!

Really lovely site

We camped with our 2 grandsons. There was plenty of room on our pitch and there was lots of room in front of the tents for children to run about, play ball games and fly kites. The site was peaceful and not too packed. There was a charming bar on site with outside tables and a small airfield adjacent so we could watch the few planes that came land and take off. There was a small restaurant on site that catered for breakfast and sold their own ice cream. We didn't have breakfast there so can't judge quality of food. The person who met us on arrival was really pleasant and informative and happy to be contacted at any time. Although it was a long journey for us to get there, I would definitely consider coming again.

Great site

We love Solley's campsite. The facilities have been updated since our last visit a few years ago with a new toilet and shower block. The pitches are generous and Steve is really helpful and accommodating. Lovely paths to walk on just around the campsite. Deal and Dover and the surrounding area are near. It is perfect for no nonsense camping. Having the ice cream parlour is always an added bonus. A new pub is also an option at the weekends.

Lovely campsite

Lovely spot, small and tucked away with a bar, open over the weekend, an ice cream parlour and good amenities. Don't follow the sat nav though as very narrow and no signs, come through Deal and via Great Mongeham instead.

Lovely site

Lovely site. Nice bonus to arrive to the band playing outside the pub. Showers were clean and hot. Would definitely return.

Fantastic caravanning and camping site

This was a rather random last minute booking. I was intrigued by the name because I love ice cream. Previous reviews criticised the toilet facilities, but a new block of six toilets, wash basin, shower cubicle units have recently been installed. The facilities were excellent for the numbers of holiday makers when we stayed. We thought the staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The owner is a farmer and he and his family have clearly put a lot of time and investment into this venture. The site is very well maintained and we loved the on-site bar. Great rural and generally quiet location. There was some background noise from refrigeration plant, presumably related to ice cream production and storage, but this did not affect our sleep. We would book here again.
