About Suilven View Pod
Amongst the 4-star self-catering at Waterloo House Lochinver, this tucked-away glamping pod is ideal for a romantic getaway. With easy access to the famous North Coast 500 and with glorious sandy beaches within a 15 minute drive, it is the perfect base for exploring the Highlands. Inside the pod, you will find a cosy double bed along with WiFi, a mini Bluetooth speaker and a smart TV, great for cosy evenings in. For cooking up that all-important fry-up, you will also have a kitchenette with a double hob, microwave, micro oven, fridge and dishwasher. You will even have an ice cream maker if you want to try your hand at making dessert! For those cooler months, the pod also comes with heating which is controlled by a digital wall thermometer. You will also have a luxury, modern ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and even linen, bathrobes and comfy slippers are provided so that you can fully relax. Step outside the pod and you will find your glorious decking area which enjoys views over Lochinver harbour and the mountains. The outside area comes with a fire pit, BBQ and a glorious jacuzzi hot tub, the perfect place to enjoy a glass of bubbly! Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you for your getaway, with up to two allowed in the pod.

Your nearest shop will be Inverpark Stores, a ten minute walk away. For food and drink, the Lochinver Larder is a 15 minute walk from site. A 15 minute drive also brings you to Achmelvich Bay beach.

It was lovely stop. A nice treat and having planned this since January, we had to book here. Shame about the flies but one got chimney going and they disappeared as they hate heat and smoke. Great facilities. Love the ice machine. Would definitely recommend a stop here if on the NC500. A spot of luxury. Great for one or two people. It was me and my brother and we enjoyed it and Lochinvar larder pie shop was not too far away. They are lovely and worth a stop. Robbie roams the NC500 pointed this out and it is worth it. In few years when do it again, we would come back for sure.

Just amazing, a little piece of heaven for me. My 10 year old and I completed the NC500 and this was a perfect location. From the ice maker, tumble dryer to all the little homely touches. Just wow. Thank you.

Things to do on site and in the Lochinver area
The glorious sandy shores of Achmelvich Bay (15 minutes) are perfect for days of swimming, sunbathing in the summer months or simply walking and marvelling at the glorious views. The charming Hermit's Castle sits upon the rocks, great for a photo opportunity.
Just a stone's throw from the famous North Coast 500, the site is also ideally located for days of exploring the rugged landscapes of the Highlands by car. Key places to head to are Drumbeg Viewpoint (35 minutes) and Assynt Viewpoint (30 minutes).
The site is also surrounded by beautiful walking trails, along with the Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve just a 35 minute drive away. Here you will find picturesque routes past mountains and lakes with scenery that could be straight from a painting.
