About the site

The site provides a peaceful, friendly, family-run base in the scenic Ceredigion countryside, ideally located for exploring Aberaeron (10 minutes) and other parts of the Welsh coast. Just off the A482, guests can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by wildflowers and wildlife, with the chance to spot red kites overhead. Pitches are spacious and include non electric grass pitches (5m x 9m), suitable for tents, trailer tents, and campervans. There are also electric grass pitches (8m x 9m) for tents, caravans, campervans, and motorhomes, along with two electric hardstanding pitches (8m x 9m) with a grass area, suitable for roof and trailer tents, caravans, campervans, and motorhomes. Please note that all electric hook ups are 16 amp, and a cable measuring at least ten metres is required. Seasonal pitches are also available onsite. The site is family friendly and offers WiFi, a small library, and a tourist information area with games. A short five-minute stroll leads to a local village pub serving cooked meals and cold drinks, as well as a shop and a bus stop with connections to New Quay, Aberystwyth and beyond. Up to three dogs are welcome onsite! Raised BBQs are permitted, but campfires are not, sorry.

Onsite facilities include a toilet block with free hot showers in individual cubicles, along with a separate accessible toilet. There's a washing up area, a launderette, battery charging, plus a freezer for ice packs. You will have access to WiFi, a library and a tourist information area with games, too. There are 47kg Gas bottles also available to purchase onsite.

A five minute walk away from the site is Tafarn y Vale/Vale of Aeron pub, serving a selection of tasty burgers, steaks, desserts, and more. Costcutter is also within the same distance for picking up camping essentials. For larger shops, Lampeter is a 15 minute drive.

Site rules and policies

*Check-in is from 12pm-9pm. Please check out by 12pm.

*Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on their leads at all times. The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act.

*Quiet hours must be respected between 11pm and 7am.

*A cable measuring at least ten metres is needed for the electric hook ups.

*Raised BBQs are permitted and must be attended by an adult at all times. No electric barbecues allowed.

*Campfires and open fires are prohibited.

*Units longer than 8m are not allowed.

*Please ensure visitors leave by 11pm.

*The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only.

*Motorbikes can be brought instead of cars.

Things to do on site and in the Lampeter area

Staying here, you are well placed to explore nearby Aberaeron, a short ten minute drive away from the site. Enjoy peaceful walks around the Georgian seaside town lined with vibrant, colourful houses, then head over to the harbour for Aberaeron Beach, an ideal spot for crabbing, shell collecting and boat rides.

It's home to several annual festivals, including the Festival of Welsh Ponies and Cobs and Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival, too.

Additional coastal days can be spent at the picturesque New Quay (15 minutes), known for its golden beaches and hub spot for bottlenose dolphins, seafood restaurants, and Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre. Hikers can also access the Wales Coast Path here, as well.

Keen anglers must visit The New Celtic Lakes, five minutes away. And a ten minute drive from the site is the popular National Trust - Llanerchaeron, an 18th-century estate with a walled garden, guided tours, and a cafe.
