Clean and friendly

Small and friendly campsite with all the facilities you need. The shop is small but Supermarkets are just up the road. Allocated pitched which I prefer so you have your own space.

Good, family friendly site

Good, clean site, all staff very friendly. Walk downhill into Exmouth ok. We got the bus back to Littleham then walked 15 mins back to site. Hubby walked to Littleham twice for takeaway fish and chips one night and Chinese the other. Couple of blind corners when walking in Maer lane. Most drivers slowed down to pass us, couple of white vans a little threatening with how close they passed us.

2 night stay

Great toilet facilities, friendly hostess who runs the shop, rare to have a small bar for a small site. 2 miles from Exmouth. Would recommend anyone to stay here, we will return in the near future.

Quiet clean site in good location

Spotless, well kept site. Lovely new shower toilet block, no waiting or queuing despite number of people on holiday here. Great location for beach, town and trains.

A great little gem of a campsite

Our pitch was allocated the day before so we're able to find and settle straight away. T he campsite was clean and tidy and staff were friendly and helpful. The newish toilets and showers were lovely but I worry that the toilets seats are flimsy and will soon break with the heavy handling of the general public. We would be happy to return should we find ourselves in the area again.

Nice site very popular

Busy site. Friendly staff. Nice 30 min walk to the beach. Toilets and showers immaculate. Lovely disposal facility. Pub local, didn't try but looked nice. Site good for families. Little noisy with young kids for us but would recommend to others.

Lovely campsite

Clean, small, peaceful campsite, just what we like. Good range of pitch sizes to suit all, with easy check in and facilities. We loved the fact that the pitches are surrounded by shrubbery and greenery, giving some natural privacy. We particularly enjoyed seeing the resident guinea fowl wandering around the site. The site has a newish unisex toilet/shower block with 8 individual bathrooms, which was lovely and clean, with plenty of hot water. We used the site to visit Exmouth and the surrounding area, we walked the costal path to Budleigh Salterton and got the bus back. All in all, we loved the site and the area it is in. We will be back again.

Very pleasant stay

Very pleasant, if basic site. Facilities were adequate. They were warm & clean, if a little dated - a new shower block is under construction. Pitches are a good size and a dog friendly beach is a 20 minute walk away along a narrow lane.

Nice, quiet location

Good, quiet site located within walking distance of Exmouth beach and local pub (The Clinton Arms), although food is not served until February. The site is located down a small country lane with permissive paths across fields, ideal for dog walkers, which take you into town. I was welcomed on site and shown where everything is. The shower block is basic and dated but was always clean and heated, especially important with the cold weather this weekend. There is a new shower block being installed and this will improve facilities and will increase the rating. I will definitely be back.

Flooded

Unfortunately, we arrived in rain, the lane to walk to the beach and Exmouth was flooded, so had to drive motorhome into Exmouth. Heavy rain continued and the site was very muddy. The lane to leave the site also became flooded, so we cut short our stay after 1 night because we had a small leak and we were worried about getting stuck there. Am sure the site is lovely when not covered in mud and water - Great British weather! Would have been useful to have been told about the flooding and perhaps be offered an alternative date? Unable to say too much about the site because we stayed inside except to use the loo, which was clean.

We are so sorry your enjoyment with us was spoilt by the weather, Sue. There was an unprecedented amount of rain which caused the flood, hence the amount of mud on the campsite. Our local weather report did not indicate that this amount of rain was coming our way. We would love for you to revisit our campsite to enjoy a more relaxed experience. Great location

Great location, facilities as described and expected. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Winter review

Stayed beginning of December for two nights so not expecting any on site facilities. Local pub was a 10 minute walk but unfortunately stopped doing food, so Exmouth was the nearest place. Shower block is getting upgraded. Can imagine this being a great little site in summer.

Perfect spot for exploring Exmouth

A lovely, quiet spot with amazing walking and coastline. Large private pitches. Highly recommended. We'll be returning.

Very good first-time campervan experience

Our first foray into the campervan ownership lifestyle. We found selecting & booking this campsite, online, very easy, We received rapid booking & payment confirmation, along with directions & some info about the site we'd selected. We found the site fairly easily & felt it was perfect for our initiation into taking our little van conversion away. We felt that the site seemed very well laid out & everything well managed. The facilities were kept very clean too. The site manager & caretaker seemed very friendly, welcoming & helpful. Our dogs also enjoyed their stay & it was good to see a dog poo bin provided. In an ideal world, it would be fab to maybe have a fenced enclosure/exercise area, where space allows, or maybe the option to pay an additional premium to have a fenced/enclosed pitch, so K9's could be safely off lead when within the allocated pitch? We will definitely look to revisit & recommend to our friends & family.

Okay site

Good location for Exmouth. Unfortunately, there was noise and smell from sewage works along the road from the site during our stay.

Hi Elaine, I am sorry you were disturbed by the water treatment plant run by South West Water. We call them whenever we get a complaint but very little is done about it. A direct complaint from guests could go someway to making them take notice, but it's a battle with them.

Lovely campsite!

Absolutely loved our stay at Prattshayes! The location was perfect and we cycled down to the beach every day. Really nice, secluded pitches and plenty of space in each. The only downside was that the showers were very, very hot, which made showering slightly unpleasant.

Nice family site, very basic and simple.

Very basic site, 3 toilets and showers. Well kept grounds, short walk to beach. Ideal location.

Great stay

Great location with an easy walk down to the beach or up to the pub. Great site - friendly with everything you need.
