Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly)Jul 2026

This was our 4th time using glamping pods, but first time at this specific site and the only site so far that we've said we'd come back to! Already planning our next stay at this location. Pod was good, basic but decent. First pod we've had that had a TV, so we were happy with that! Fridge was handy to keep milk etc. A microwave would've been good for dinners as we didn't plan to eat at clubhouse. Play park is about a 10 second walk from pods, so excellent to keep an eye on children whilst sitting outside your pod, relaxing. Location is excellent, park employees were lovely and was nice to have some pod neighbours to chat to as well. Have to park your car in a car park and walk to pods with all your things, so if you have duvets and pillows, this could be inconvenient having to make multiple trips, but the car park is right beside the play park, so is super close. No entertainment on on the days that we stayed, so can't comment on that, but the few times I went into clubhouse to use toilets, it was very empty. Park in general was busy and well kept. Facilities on the other hand - about a five minute walk away, which, when you have kids, is 5 minutes too far, especially for those late night toilet trips. Toilets were clean and had multiple cubicles and showers were ok. First one we tried only ran cold water, so had to get redressed and try another shower which was hot and pressure was good. If I could make any changes - I would swap the play park with facilities and vice versa.

Great stay!

Camping Pod - Camping PodsJul 2026

We had a great night, staying in a camping pod. Very easy to get to from the A1, great value for money, an easy walk to the beautiful beach. Toilets, showers, washing up facilities were all nice and clean. A brilliant short holiday not far from home. Would definitely go again.

Great location, great pod, shame about the hot water

Camping Pod - Camping PodsJul 2026

The location of Scoutscroft is perfect for visiting St Abbs & Eyemouth. Both can be reached in under 10 minutes by car. It's also great for visiting Berwick-upon-Tweed which is about 20 minutes by car. We stayed in a 4 person camping pod with 2 single beds and 1 double bed. Double bed was comfortable and the single beds were a little harder but fine for children. The pod was equipped with a fridge, kettle, TV & each pod also has a picnic bench to the side. There is a small car park next to the camping pods. Pods are in a good location next to the children's play park and the main restaurant on site. The one small downside of the pods location is the short walk through the caravan park to get to the toilet and shower block, although you can use the toilets within the restaurant when it's open. The shower/toilet block was a little disappointing. There are separate male & female bathrooms along with a family bathroom, which is a great idea. We used the family bathroom with our 2 little ones, however, this had no hot water. We also struggled for hot water on the second day - all showers were cold, even in the male and female bathrooms. We were also left disappointed in the cleanliness of the shower block. It was obvious these had not been attended during our full stay as paper and soap dispensers hadn't been refilled when empty. Bins had not been emptied and the floors had not been cleaned - crushed crisps & the crisp pack were left on the floor of the shower block for more than 24hrs during our stay, along with bits of paper towel. There was also an issue with the flushing of toilets in the male bathrooms. Food served in the main restaurant was lovely, we ate from the main restaurant both nights of our stay, both sit in & take away. Take away option is handy if you just want a quiet night at your pod. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. Overall, the pod was perfect for what we needed & having facilities such as a restaurant & play park on site were ideal with young children. If hot water was a guarantee, we'd definitely be back.

Camping Pod - Camping PodsFeb 2026

We stayed there on a multi day walking through the East Coast, everyone was very friendly. The accommodation was roomy and clean and comfortable. TV and fridge in the room working well. The shower and toilet facilities were clean, but hot water was a bit of a challenge in the showers. The only other challenge we had was dinner. We asked the bar about the kitchen closing time, and they said 7 (on a Sunday evening). When we were back at 6.30, the kitchen was already closed! Lucky for us, the grocery shop was only 5 mins away on foot and we got some cold sandwiches. The price was also very reasonable!
