Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Meadow)Aug 2026

Depends if you can cope with compost toilets and over-efficient showers then excellent. A dividing line for us as a couple

Nice and peaceful, close the lovely village of Coverack.

Small Tent - Electric Grass Touring Pitches (Main Field)Jul 2026

Having not been camping for 3 years, we were a little bit nervous but the weather was perfect and we love Coverack, so booked this site online. Was easy enough to find with Apple Maps and check in was so simple - if you have pre booked online - just find your name on the board at the entrance and then the corresponding pitch number in the map. There were quite a few people on site over the first weekend of August but it felt spacious, was clean and tidy, very peaceful and always toilets, showers and washing up facilities available. My husband was not a fan of the compost toilets but that his personal preference, there's absolutely nothing wrong with them and they do not smell whatsoever. The walk down to the village was very easy and pleasant but is much more strenuous on the way back up! We had a drink at The Paris pub, fish and chips on the harbour from The Lifeboat House and a very pleasant drink in the garden of The Bay Hotel at sunset. We also went back the following day for food. Unfortunately, we were too late to try Brenda's café and we did spot another coffee place but didn't try that either. Overall a lovely little site for those wanting a quiet place within reach of the coast path and all of the attractions of the Lizard Peninsula.

Beautiful place, amazing location and very friendly welcome. Fields were flat and very well looked after, no rubbish anywhere. Shower and toilet facilities weren't the best, so we had to leave early due to this reason.

Site's response

Dear Laura, thank you for your review. We are sorry the facilities did not meet your expectations. As highlighted on our listing, we are an eco-campsite. We purposefully use basic, sustainable facilities like compost toilets to protect the environment. While our setups are rustic, they are checked and spotlessly cleaned multiple times a day. We understand this style of off-grid eco-camping does not suit everyone, but we try to make our site description clear before booking. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you all the best on your future trips. Warm regards, The Coverack Camping Team

Brilliant little campsite - the eco touch is nice. Emphasis on saving water etc. Lots of compostable loos situated across the site, never far from one! Sink outside the loos too! Although, if you aren't up for a compostable loo and basic showers then this may not be the place for you. Spiders live in the loos, which I don't mind but if you are an arachnophobe then you may find them hard to use! There is an uncover picnic area by the showers and wash up area with an electric kettle and shared freezer. Owners are really helpful and laidback, check-in easy. They rent firepits and sell logs/kindling so all you need for a good camp! It's a short walk down to Coverack, steep walk back up and could be slippery if it's been raining, but not difficult! Would definitely recommend it and will stay there again if down that way! They don't allow music which in the height of the peak season is probably a good thing.

Great site!

This place is great! We stayed in terrible weather and the wonderful lass who runs the place helped us out a lot! It's a great site with good facilities. It's also 5 mins walk down to a beautiful harbour and a nice pub, with a great vista from the beer garden! It's also a good base to other spots (Lizard Point and Land's End). I rate this place highly.

Perfect site

This campsite is an absolute gem! I enjoyed staying so much I didn't want to leave. Compost loo's clean and fresh (no smells) showers/washing-up/freezer all great. Very spacious pitches and its a quiet site (no music allowed) totally chilled and peaceful. 10 mins walk through woodland footpath beautiful but steep or along tiny road to Coverack harbour and beach and community shop/coffee shop/fish & chips/pub/restaurant - everything within walkable distance including coastal path - perfect! Sam, the site manager, was kind and helpful and proactive in checking all is ok when she does the rounds - she's lovely.

Beautiful well run campsite.

What a wonderful campsite. We booked the week before and we were so pleased with our choice! From the moment we arrived we knew we had found a little gem! The campsite is basic but perfect. Pitches are generous and you have room to move. The compostable toilets were fantastic even though I was a little apprehensive at first- I think I prefer them to normal toilets! Having the option of using the communal area was a bonus too. Everyone from the site we spoke to were helpful and took their time to answer any questions we had. if you want a to pop to the beach there are 2 near by which were both beautiful and within easy walking distance. We shall definitely be back in the future. Thank you for providing a relaxed and peaceful environment for us to stay!

Lovely site so friendly and quiet, we were a little apprehensive regarding the 'Loos' but you get used to them. Showers clean and rustic lol warm great for what you need. Would have liked the sea views as the other pitches had were stunning, the walk to coverack beach was great. Be prepared as no shops for miles we had what we needed😁 We would definitely return

This is a lovely campsite and all the better for being close to Coverack a quaint, small fishing village. The campsite is on the basic side but is kept very clean by the friendly owner. It's also nice and cheap. From some of the fields it's possible to get sea views. The place is also quite eco.

Lovely quiet spot

Amazing view with great pitch. The host was nice enough to take her time to come and greet us at our pitch and also provided us with what we had put in our special request. A very kind gesture of the host to come and greet us. The site is great and really convenient.
