Glamping - Rail Cabins (Dog Friendly)Aug 2025

Location is unbeatable. Quiet, green, splendid view. Railcabins super nice and authentic. Showers and toilets rather primitive, but functioning well. Friendly hostess and excellent service. Gas stove and picnic table present for each cabin.

We have stayed there for 1 night. Staff are very friendly. Shower and bathroom are clean and very well maintained. And the pets on the campsite are also very good and very pleasant atmosphere with stunning views.

Loved this campsite - stunning views and a relaxed vibe. The dogs being around made it feel friendly and was a nice welcome back from a days walking, as was having hot water for washing up and showers. Clean, quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. Would definitely come back!

Really enjoyed our weekend. Nice homely friendly feel about it and we enjoyed it being a working farm. Toilets, showers and wash facilities were spot on. Nice little walk into the local village which is a very quirky place! We're already looking to book back up.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025

The place was very nice, showers and toilets were appropriate and comfortable, the owner was very kind and polite and it's a very cosy spot to camp at. We stayed at the high hill and we saw the horses across the small river, very scenery and beautiful. No one bothers you so it's great to keep your privacy, definitely recommend. Keep in mind that it's better if you go on a car as it's about 10-15 min drive to the nearest town. The location is in the middle of a few activities, so it's not bad if you're looking for a chill spot which is a bit secluded from everything!

Friendly relaxed campsite

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025

Loved our stay at Moss Side Farm. Had a great pitch at the top of the more wild pitches with a beautiful view. For a few days, we had only sheep as neighbours but when more people arrived, it still felt quiet and peaceful. Facilities are simple but were clean and water was hot. Loved that we could walk to nearby village for our supplies from a butcher, bakery and grocery shop and a game of pool in the pub. Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

My friends and I stayed at Moss side for one night and we forgot to bring tentpoles. Louise saved the day for us by letting us stay in her caravan for the night, the campsite is brilliant and facilities are fantastic!

Certainly will consider coming again

A great night at Moss Farm Campsite. We were greeted upon arrival and got to pick our pitch. Set up camp and took advantage of the provided fire pit. My partner and I really enjoyed walking around the farm looking at all the animals.

I had such a lovely stay on this working farm. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience feel really personal. I especially loved seeing the animals roaming around—it gave the place so much charm and character. It's a proper working farm, so it's not pristine, but that's exactly what makes it feel so authentic and down-to-earth. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing countryside break. I'd definitely recommend.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025

A lovely, little campsite if you are wanting peace and quiet and no kids! The owners are very friendly and welcoming! Facilities are basic but I love the farm vibe with all the animals, there are horses, sheep, cows, ducks and chickens! We had a great time and met some lovely people, definitely will be back, as there are also only about 15 pitches, so perfect size for what we want.

Great overnight stay at the campsite. Really good location just outside of Coniston. Very quiet site - all you could hear was silence and nature. Very relaxing night after a long hike in the day. Will be back.
