Had a great stay at Rosewall. Was so good that we actually stayed for an extra night. Location was good for exploring nearby, Weymouth. Facilities were good, clean, tidy and well looked after. Also had a mobile takeaway over the weekend which was also good. Easy walk to local pub and beach. Lots of walks and paths to explore. Big site so just parked up where it was quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend 100%.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

The location is amazing, facilities clean and easy to use. Fellow campers were also wonderful. Unfortunately our car rolled back so arrived in a bit of a panic. The lovely day warden (lady driving a Land Rover) was wonderful, she checked in on us, gave us advice and was generally very soothing and lovely. The only negative is the rude night wardens who seemed intent on intimidating us and putting us in our place. As we arrived in a panic, we had not had time to read the rules properly about dogs on leads. It's not in the welcome email but there is one sign at reception. Most campsites we go to do not have this rule but we can take responsibility for having not read the rules. However, having gone to A&E, we came back at 10pm and had to put up a tent. The dog had been stuck with one of us in the car for the majority of the time and so when we arrived we let him out to run around. It took about 10 mins for the night wardens to abruptly turn up, without introducing themselves and tell us 'it's late for the dog to be off lead' and then when I obliged and apologised, were clearly unsatisfied with my calm response and added 'and it's too late to be putting up a tent' despite a no noise rule after 11 and no rules for a late arrival time. The next day, the night wardens called our calmly sitting dog over to them and then came to tell us off again about the dog being 'off lead'. Still without an ounce of politeness, compassion or kindness. It's unfortunate as it made us uncomfortable.

Lovely stay at Rosewall

Great campsite, lots of space and choice of where to pitch. Easy walk to the Smuggler's Arms pub and a rather trickier walk to the beach. Be ready for large rocks rather than pebbles, but you can BBQ on the beach and the rock pools make it totally worth it. Well stocked campsite shop and pop up food trucks. A group of several families arrived the day before we were leaving and they were incredibly loud from dawn to dusk, so I'm pleased I was leaving when I did. Maybe something worth monitoring.

Brilliant place. Couldn’t fault

Lovely place. Amazing staff. Field mostly not level, but bring chocks and enjoy the view ! We met the two wardens and they were friendly, helpful and the right level of chatty versus leaving us to relax. Best place we’ve stayed in during this trip. Ultra clean. Close to really nice pub and walk down to rocky beach Stay here. It’s gorgeous

a great site with beautiful views

We had a fantastic week at this site, it's really close to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove which were amazing. The pebble beach near the site is a short walk and we had fires there in the evening. Lots of clean toilets and showers onsite plus a little shop

Really enjoyed our stay at this very clean and well organised campsite. The views from the site towards the sea were stunning and such a great location right on the doorstep of the South Coastal Path. Enjoyed a well earned cider after a fab walk to White Northe and back at the lovely The Smugglers Inn pub located just minutes from the campsite. We will definitely visit again.

Excellent campsite right by the coastal path

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

Perfect campsite right on the south west coastal path at Osmington (8 km to Weymouth 12km to Lulworth Cove). Great facilities (hot shower, plug sockets, etc). Only let down my the poor mobile reception and no Wi-Fi.

Very large site

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

Lovely campsite with a beautiful view of the sea. Really well maintained. Shower blocks were very clean as was the site itself. You get to choose your own pitch was great for choosing what you require re shade, views etc. No problem with noise as stated in previous reviews, everyone seemed very respectful of the 11pm curfew. The Smugglers Inn (about a 10 min walk) is well worth a visit, food is pricey but portion size and quality seem to match. A mile walk to Ringstead beach along the coastal path which is well worth a visit. All in all, a great find! We will return.

Lovely camp site and exceptionally helpful and pleasant staff

Very clean and tidy campsite. The only negative is that it was quite noisy way past the 11pm 'strict' guideline on the Saturday night.

Beautiful peaceful Campsite

So I was a little bit taken aback that they charge per unit (per tent) but the location is so beautiful, the facilities so fantastic, the site so clean and the staff so friendly that I forgot about it. The crows rule!! Early in the morning the crows make a great chorus of cawing and then quieten down again, cows leisurely graze in the hill above, light moving over the mountain, the sea glistening. A short walk takes you down to the Smugglers inn, where the food is not great but ok, then there a small stony beach where the stream tumbles over rocks to the sea... wonderful.
