Daleacres Experience Freedom Glamping is located in the Kent Downs AONB, a ten minute drive from Hythe Beach. Settle into a cosy wooden yurt, fully furnished with heating, comfy beds and an outdoor space for al fresco dining, or choose one of the furnished safari tents. There's a play park and bike hire for days of exploring, while a pub is just a 15 minute walk away. Folkestone and Dover are 30 minutes away, with ferries going across to France!

About the site

Within a 30 minute walk of the coast, this family friendly glamping site offers an ideal base for beach days or a handy stopover before catching the ferry to France. You can even hire a bike from the site and spend the day cruising along the seafront. Guests can choose from cosy wooden yurts, each sleeping up to two adults and two children. Inside, there's a double bed, a single bed and a camp bed, with bedding provided. There is also electric heating, a kettle, a toaster, a microwave, a fridge and utensils. Outside, you'll have your own deck with a table, chairs and a parasol, plus a fire pit for cooking, toasting marshmallows or simply warming up on colder evenings. Shared facilities are nearby, and there is also a communal fire pit for socialising with fellow campers. There are also nine safari tents, sleeping up to five guests. Each has a double bed, two single beds and an overhead bed, with bedding provided. The tents have a covered veranda with a two-person sofa, coffee table and chair, along with a private outdoor area with a picnic bench, parasol and BBQ. Inside, you'll also find an equipped kitchen area and a handy boot box provides space to leave muddy shoes! There are pet-free and dog friendly yurt options, while all the safari tents are dog friendly. The campsite itself is also dog friendly.

Daleacres Experience Freedom Glamping is open from 20/03 to 01/11 in 2026 and from 25/03 to 31/10 in 2027. Stay from £49/night for 2 people (2-night minimum).

We had a really lovely time at the campsite. Yurts are very well equipped. The facilities are clean. I could see there was a maintenance guy around. We were truly impressed by the standards at the campsite. Quiet area and fresh air. I recommend this site and will look for the other sites to spend some time at in the future.

Loved the yurt. It was very good value for money with lovely little touches of a log burner fire kit and eye masks. The location was fantastic, close to the beach and I enjoyed the walk up to the safari park and Lympne castle.

Great stay, lovely area and close to walking trails, beach, zoo and shops. Absolutely prime location. The yurt was lovely, exceeded my expectations. Perfect for nature and relaxing weekend getaway. Warm enough for our stay in October. Reception staff are lovely and welcoming. Food truck is decent and there's a lovely guy who's runs it . The WiFi to the yurts/safari tents doesn't reach far enough and the toilets is around a 3/4 minute walk away. Recommended to bring a torch for late night toilet runs (is lit by lamps, but little ones can get spooked still). An extra disposable BBQ or 2 (1 provided). Extra logs needed if planning to have a firepit going more than twice.
