Occupying part of what used to be a WWII airfield, Holmsley Campsite offers an ideal location in the New Forest National Park. Within a 15 minute drive of Highcliffe Beach and just 25 minutes from Bournemouth, it is the perfect place for exploring. Campers in tents and tourers have a range of pitches to choose from, including grass, hardstanding and the option of electric. Be sure to also keep an eye out for visiting New Forest ponies!

We had a wonderful stay at Homesley. Staff were very friendly. The site was huge. Plenty of space for caravan & awning plus car. The facilities were clean every day. The walks just outside the site were absolutely stunning. New Forest ponies everywhere. The site was a good location for woodland walks and beach visits. We would 100% recommend this site and will also would book again.

Loved the site, although it would be nice to have an adult only section. We do have our own children but still be nice not having kids cycle through your little bit of space! We will definitely be back in school term time. Your post code on a sat nav took us a mile away from the site. C can that be sorted?
Great, quiet and well looked after site.

On arrival we were met by a lovely lady staff member who told us of our options to park. Couldn't fault the facilities very clean.

Great location in the heart of the New Forest. A large site with lots of space around the pitch. Site staff were very helpful and friendly. The facilities were very clean and well managed throughout our stay. It was a pleasure to stay in a site that was peaceful and very quiet in the night time.

I booked a hard standing with electric hook up. My previous experiences of hardstandings had me expecting some kind of individual bay to park in, separated from the next with a strip of grass or something. Not so here. The old airfield run way is the hardstanding, so it felt like we were parked in a car park rather than a campsite. The grass pitches were much friendlier looking and I wished we had booked one of these instead. The toilet block closest to us were not open, but the other block had plenty of clean toilets and a few showers and wash basins. Further to walk for us, but not an issue. The welcome from staff was friendly and helpful. There is a site shop which is good to see, but there is not a great deal of choice. It was hard to make a complete meal from the available selection (I forgot to pack my fridge before leaving!), especially if not a meat eater. There are walks directly accessible from the site which were lovely and not far to drive to the coast. There is a play park with a cool airplane paying homage to the heritage of the site. The price of 1 night with electric hook up cost us £38 which is quite steep in my opinion. I would recommend the location for 1 night stop over, but I wouldn't want to stay for a week on the hardstanding area.
Family friendly site!

Holmsley was everything we wanted! Both of our children spent most of their time making new friends in the newly refurbished play park. The site was quiet and we enjoyed how spacious it was as pitches weren’t packed in close to each other. Having ponies grazing right outside the entrance was also lovely! All in all, we had a fantastic time! Staff were also very friendly and helpful!

A WW2 airfield, which was perfect for me as my mum and dad met whilst serving in the RAFVR and WAAF. Rio loved his walk along the old runway and peri-track. Such a warm welcome and the facilities were spotlessly clean. Will be back.

This site was great for visiting Milford and Barton on sea. If Corfe castle or Sea age was on your agenda, then it's also a good place to set off from. The facilities are always kept clean, as are the other New Forest sites and it's only let down by some of the people using them, who seem to expect others to clean after them. The staff were friendly and helpful. The aircraft to the local airport stop flying overnight, so it's lovely and quiet.
Very pleased!

On arrival, we asked to be moved to a different pitch due to very wet/muddy ground. We were accommodated with this. Not all rules were abided by, with dogs not being kept on leads, not always keeping 6 meters apart. We went out one day and came back to a caravan and awning tucked in behind us and definitely not the 6 meters. Washing lines being tied between trees! On a positive note the showers/toilets were kept clean with plenty of hot water.

It's a great location but the toilet block is tired and electric hook up wasn't near my pitch? Pricey breakfast items.
