Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2023

Loved our weeklong stay here! Myself, my partner and our three dogs felt very welcome and comfortable here. On site facilities (toilets, showers and wash room) were cleaned multiple times daily and did not have any issues with them. Richard and his family made us feel so welcome, often stopping to chat and recommend places to visit in the area, and even going as far as to offer us more towels or to wash & dry our towels for the dogs when we had a spot of bad weather. Truly going above and beyond for their guests! Location was fantastic for what we wanted to do during our stay, being fairly central to many places of interest for us. Not too far from the town of Bodmin for supermarkets and other amenities. Site itself was lovely and peaceful, beautiful location for star gazing at night around the campfire and plenty of space for everyone. Lots of water points across site too which was handy! They even offer picnic benches for you to have outside your tent to sit around at night and concrete blocks to keep fire-pits raised off the ground. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay here, and will definitely be back in the future! 🏕️

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2023

Beautiful site, gentleman running it was lovely, came and checked on everybody and facilities daily. The facilities need updating, proper toilets need to be in place and showers need updating. Also the possibility of having Wi-Fi there due to lack of signal, and being a fair distance away from anything, especially with having children. Other than the small things, The Camping Field is a beautiful place, so much space for kiddies to play and enjoy themselves. We really enjoyed our stay.

Thanks Kirsty for your review. This is a back to basics campsite. We are in SSSI area, which we are very lucky to get planning from March to the end of October. Your family enjoyed the freedom, wildness and quietness of The Camping Field. Kids need to learn that there is life without Wi-Fi. There will be no upgrades. We will keep this campsite as basic as can be. I enjoy walking down the field and seeing families having fires, talking and being sociable. That's proper camping. I hope to see your family next year. Fabulous site with wonderful views (which we were surprised by when we woke up as when we arrived it was as very foggy). Great location for walking as you are literally next to the Saint's Way route. Plenty of portaloos around the field and water and showers easily accessible. Plenty of space too. Thank you, we will be back for longer next time.

A very basic site but the facilities were clean and perfectly suited to my needs. Richard was a pleasant and welcoming host - would definitely return for the peace and quiet!

Great position for access to all key tourist spots, although remote. Great value for money, but this is reflected in basic services although everything you need. Would come back.
