Tents can choose from a range of grass and hardstanding pitches, with electric and adult only area options. By the River Tees, guests will have access to free fishing, plus a handy shop, WiFi and a dog walk. The Teesdale Way passes the site, with Barnard Castle a 15 minute drive away for days out!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Adult Only)May 2026

What a lovely campsite, we absolutely loved it. Dog field was great and a good size. Being right near the river was great. The site was well maintained. The only negative was the soap dispensers kept running out in the toilets but nothing else everything perfect. Good size pitch and very quiet. Really lovely place to come.

Lovely, well looked after campsite. Excellent dog exercise field. Campsite right on a river walk which is fab. You can walk into town within 20 minutes. Would definitely recommend this site.

What a beautiful site! Robin was helpful, funny and kind. Having different areas for different family needs really worked for us. It was ideal for us with our two dogs, straight on to the river path with fabulous walks both ways. We felt very welcomed.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only)Apr 2026

Really nice couple of nights pitched near the river. The pitches are large, flat and not squeezed in together. Facilities are great and very clean. Great for dark skies as there's very little light pollution. A couple of improvements could be made, adding a bin to the washing up area and not closing the loos for 2 hours during cleaning, a rotation would work better as waiting an hour and a half was very uncomfortable, when we'd just returned from a walk. There is a shop but couldn't find opening hours anywhere and didn't see it open.
