VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Excellent dog friendly site with great local walks and pub opposite. The toilet, shower & washing up facilities have got to be the best we've experienced 10/10.

Perfect little site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 I stayed here with my mum for a couple of days. We requested a pitch next to the toilet block as we both have blue badges. We had the perfect location on pitch 26. We were next to the facilities - which were meticulous and the nicest I've seen - and the gate to the canal and pub.
The whole site is kept extremely clean and tidy and the personnel were very helpful and friendly. The location was in a quiet area of the South Lakes but we made good use of the buses into Kirkby Lonsdale and Kendal. The bus stop is very close, just in front of the pub.
I will definitely be returning - with my husband and dog next time.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 1st time visiting Little acre campsite,overall we thought the facilities the location and the owners were absolutely brilliant .
We definitely recommend this site for a base for the southern lakes and the Yorkshire dales .

Site 5 star, shame about the weather
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 2nd time at Little Acre. Location just off the M6 and great place to base if exploring Yorkshire Dales and/or the Lakes.
Facilities shower block are spotless and 5 star. The owner, Paul, is friendly and welcoming. Crooklands pub/hotel across the road does great food also if want a change from own BBQ/micro meals.
This time the canal towpath was fully open which was great for walks. The weather this Easter weekend wasn't great due to Storm Dave, but not fault of site.
Would definitely be back.

Storm Dave didn't really add much to this years Easter Bank Holiday break for anyone !
I'm glad that you made the most of it and now that the works on the canal towpath have been completed, we now have a flat, even clean walking area that goes for 3 miles in each direction from the main gate.
I'll have a word with the weather fairies and ses if I can organise some better weather for your next trip.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Lovely campsite. Owners very helpful and friendly, they will go out of their way to make sure you have a lovely stay. Very clean and tidy campsite with a pub nearby and plenty of dog walks. Facilities are modern, warm and cleaned daily. Can’t wait to go back again.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 This is a beautiful little site, very well kept,the toilets and showers were spotlessly clean and modern.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The crooklands pub/ restaurant which is 2 mins Walk away serves top quality food at a reasonable price..
This is a great base for venturing in and around the lake district.
We will definitely be visiting this site again.

Another excellent stay
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 This is our 5th stay at Little Acre, it really is first rate and one of the nicest sites we've ever stayed at!
Wide spacious pitches, beautifully maintained grounds, best shower/toilet facilities you'll come across, excellent dog walking along the Lancaster canal path, amazing pub just over the road and super friendly host in Paul. Nothing is too much trouble for him and his team.
Highly highly recommend you try this site you won't be disappointed. One recommendation for the future, an outdoor dog wash would be a perfect addition to rinse off muddy paws after a long walk.
Can't wait to return, looking for dates in August already.

Since you were here last, we've added short lengths of hose to the taps that are closest to the elsan points, so these can now be used as a dog wash/paw clean.

Amazing Bank Holiday Stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 We had a great break over the bank holiday weekend the owners were lovely and amazing accommodating. The pitches were a great size and the facilities new and spotless. The site is right by a canal path which is lovely for a stroll with a great pub situated across the road.

Bank Holiday weekend away
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Had a lovely weekend on this lovely campsite. Paul, the site manager, was friendly and nothing was to much.
Only recommendation would be, it would be nice to have a little onsite bar, as the prices as the pub over the road were a bit expensive. But overall, we will absolutely be coming back, hopefully the weather will treat us better this time, which would be a bonus to top off a beautiful weekend away.

Had a fantastic stay, site was perfect, great location, bus route very close by for Kendal one way and Kirkby Londsdale the other. Bus drivers very friendly and helpful - bonus dogs ride for free 😊 and a big thank you to Paul's wife for the wildlife information 😊 we would definitely return again.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2026 What a fantastic site! Toilet/shower blocks were a really good standard and kept clean. Location was fantastic. Canal opposite for lovely walks and towns within easy reach.
Hosts were really nice. Thanks for the heads up about the cafe in Grasmere!!

Amazing stay
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2026 Couldn't recommend the site enough, host was really welcoming and knowledgeable. The facilities are amazing; the showers are incredible, clean, and smell amazing!
The views are lovely, it's nice and peaceful, there's a lovely pub less than a 5 minute walk where the food is great. Will be looking to stay again.
