Weekend away

This site is so well kept it very impressive. Even the cutting of the grass was like a football pitch. Showers and toilets were as modern as I’d ever seen, we can’t wait to come back and discover more walks.

A truly lovely stay....

This was our first ever camping stay in our VW Camper so we don't have any other sites to compare with but based on our stay here we would highly recommend this lovely site. Extremely well organised, very secure, peaceful and exceptionally clean. Really great showers and toilets, a secure field next to the site to walk our dog and a very nice pub just a short walk away, a quiz night on the last Thursday of the month. All staff we spoke to were very polite and friendly. If you are looking to stay in this area then you really can't go wrong with this site, thankyou.

Excellent, would recommend

We were really impressed with this site. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great range of essentials available in the vending machines. The Pizza, OJ and coffee vending machines were great! Good sized pitches with a really big separate paddock/field for dogs and ball games. Toilets and shower blocks absolutely spotless. Park for kids was a bit basic, but well maintained and a nice addition

Lovely stay

What a fantastic place to stay, only had two nights but wish we stayed longer but will definitely stay again. Toilets and showers were spotless and all other facilities. Didn’t use the vending machines but they looked great.

Camping weekend

Absolutely lovely site. Safe, as only your vehicle can enter the site. Helpful, polite staff. Very, very clean. Value for money. The showers & toilets are to a very high spec & showers are hot with consistent water. Will definitely be coming back for another peaceful weekend. Pat yourselves on the back.

Fab site

What a fab caravan site, friendly and helpful staff, super toilet and shower facilities, close to the beach, pub is 2 minutes walk. the site has vending machines for all you essentials. we will be back in July as we loved our stay.

Bank holiday getaway

A lovely, quiet stay at Portesham. Stayed here before. Facilities very clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Nice strolls with the dog. Pub 5min walk serving tasty food. Would definitely come again.

Sue at reception was great very helpful, although we were booked in for 1 night, we decided to stay another night. Weymouth was not so great at £4.60 an hour to park & none for disabled could be found.

Really nice clean campsite , great facilities , good wifi etc really lovely and quiet too !

Quiet campsite close to Weymouth

Excellent Campsite with very Limited amenities. Although it was the Easter break it was so quiet. The toilets, shower block and dishwashing facilities were spotless. There was a pub a 5 minute walk away, which was dog friendly and had a lovely picturesque beer garden. Please note, The site is quite exposed to the elements, so last night in 40 mph winds we did think the Tent would take off!! Luckily the Vango air tent stood up to the high winds. Only 4.5 miles from Weymouth. So if you want a very quiet site just a few miles from Weymouth look no further. We will be back. 5 stars 🌟 .

Lovely campsite

Stayed for 3 days with hook up. Location was perfect with a nice pub and farm shop in the village. Campsite has vending machines that do a vary of foods and drinks especially the milkshakes. Showers /toilets were spotless and grounds very kept clean and tidy. As long as you like the smell of a farm and a few crows, you'll love it here we did.

Quiet & peaceful

Lovely, quiet site and not too crowded, we had a serviced site which was by a little brook, it was so pretty. The washroom facilities although spotless for the size of the site was small. There seemed also to be a lack of those little extras we all forget to take or run out of. Would I go back? Yes, I would.

Beautiful campsite

The most spotlessly clean campsite, in a pretty village surrounded by rolling hills. The staff were helpful and friendly and the dairy shop is a useful asset. We loved having such easy access to the dog walking field next to the campsite and enjoyed the walk down the old railway line to the next village. We will definitely come back.

Clean campsite

Lovely site and very clean toilets and washing facilities. Think the price per night is quite expensive considering what there was on site. However, staff were friendly and the vending machines were handy.

Loved it

We loved our stay at this campsite. Squeaky clean amenities, well-maintained pitches, and very friendly staff. Our favourite bit has to be the "vending shop". There's no "camp shop" as such, but a farm shop 2 minutes' walk away. The "vending shop" has fun machines that dispense milk/milkshakes, freshly squeezed orange juice (you watch the oranges being squeezed!). There's also handy bits such as bacon/egg/sausage/pasties (made locally), sausage rolls, cheese, cereals, chocolate & snacks, drinks and condiments. And the best machine dispenses luxury ice cream. We'd go back just to use the machines again! Highly recommended!

Lovely!

We only stayed one night, I wish we could have stayed for longer. The welcome was lovely and the pitch was perfect, appreciated having own access to water. Loved the vending machines, all the essentials and more, and great to get fresh cup of coffee too. The main toilet/shower block were very modern and super clean, and surprisingly the porto toilet facilities at the far end of the site were lovely! The small touches too, e.g. someone had put the heating on in the porto block and meant the early loo trip wasn't freezing! There was a field behind the site which was perfect for walking our energetic springer. Thank you so much. Really look forward to returning and spending more time there.
