Lovely campsite, everything is done online (as in check in and out) so very convenient, however it is in the middle of nowhere so you will definitely need a car or bike. Pub through the wood about 15 minutes walk with a shop just a bit further on and 1 hour walk to nearest village. No buses come through the village and after speaking to reception, taxis are minimal. We had a campervan so harder but with a car it would be an amazing site.

Fordingbridge, the nearest town is 50 minutes walk where you will find cafes, pubs, a range of independent shops and buses to Bournemouth and Salisbury and, in season, an open-topped tour bus for the New Forest, which you can get on and off at little villages all through the Forest.

This site was an ideal venue for our short weekend break away in the New Forest. A friendly site with nice facilities that were always clean and well presented.

Lovely clean campsite, easy to use the self check in. Really spacious pitch size. All facilities were clean and we did not have a problem with needing to queue for showers etc. Location good for exploring the New Forest. Would definitely visit again

Stayed for two nights on a serviced hard standing pitch. The location of our pitch was perfect, with the added bonus of privacy hedges all round, which for us was great as we have three dogs. We popped up a couple of wind breaks just for added privacy. The pitch was plenty big enough with room to spare. A lovely quiet site with everything you need. We absolutely loved the fact that there is a great dog walk on site. This runs the perimeter of the site with gated access straight into a huge woodland. Here you can let your dogs off lead. We were amazed by the amount of dog poo bins on and around the site. This is very rare! 3 great fishing ponds that seem well stocked. Facilities cleaned very regularly, and the guy cleaning them was very friendly. Office staff were very helpful, we forgot to bring our camping chairs, and the lady got straight onto the Internet to find a local stockist. Free Wi-FI is also rare on any site, thank you. The information room is well stocked with books, dvd's, magazines and even board games and outside games to borrow. Nothing has been over looked at this site and at such a bargain price. Cannot fault and will definitely return.

Such a pretty site. We went with our old Goldie and there were fishing lakes and a short walk to a local pub. The place was immaculate, shower blocks etc were always pristine, and constant upkeep of pitches. Perfect. Would certainly revisit.

A nice, peaceful site we took our two dogs with us and we had some lovely walks. The toilets and showers were nice and clean, it was a nice chilled weekend.

What a stunning place to stay. This place is one of the cleanest and well kept parks we've stayed in. We highly recommend visiting Hill Cottage Farm. It was nice and quiet with just the right amount of essentials on site. Beautiful walking paths and a little play park on site. Very nice shower and bathroom facilities that were regularly cleaned and well maintained. The staff were so very friendly and always approached with a smile. There was all sorts available to borrow in the information room such as badminton rackets and board games. Books to borrow and maps of the area which was just a great touch. We had electric hook up and our pitches were well labelled too. We loved how easy check in and out was all online and the map to the pitches were easily followed. The surroundings were all well kept with bushes all trimmed and neat. The grass was freshly cut and not one scrap of rubbish or litter found which was just amazing. The price was also very reasonable at £60 for two nights stay electric hook up for a tent. We are eager to get back and stay again!

We enjoyed our stay and had a large pitch. There is a dog walk which leads into woods - ours loved it! The facilities are clean and there is a Thai takeaway on site. There is a small charge for day visitors.

A very well kept campsite. It was very quiet when we stayed. There was sufficient toilets and showers during our stay, I would be concerned if there would be enough to cope during busy periods. The pitches are very large, the largest we have ever stayed at anywhere. There is a pub within easy 20 minute walk through the woods, they serve very good value meals. We would have liked to have walked to Fordingbridge to try other pubs, sadly the footpaths were very overgrown and not passable with shorts on. Obviously not the fault of the campsite. Unfortunately we had to leave on Wednesday morning, as we would have liked to try the campsites Thai food. The menu looked very good and reasonably priced. I gave the location just a 4 star rating because it isn't situated on the New Forest. We will definitely visit here again.

This is a lovely site, kept very clean, showers toilets etc. Close to all points of interest and beautiful views the New Forest has to offer. Definitely would return. Staff were very friendly.

Really easy to check in and out, and the facilities were clean and tidy. The pitch was also lovely, with your own green area, so we set up the badminton set, plenty of space, and no issue with the electricity, or grey waste. We booked the kids into the new forest waterpark, which they loved, we booked a cab which was only £16. There is also a pleasant walk through the woods to the village and a nice dog-friendly pub. Lots of dogs on site which was nice to see as well. We were not near the play area thankfully as the noise would have spoilt our stay, however, this is down to the parents and not the site. Something to bear in mind when booking a spot though, look at the site map and plan accordingly. 99% were respectful however.

Just back from a lovely stay. Wonderful pitch with hedgerows around the pitch giving a sense of privacy. Each pitch is extremely generous and caters for a caravan, awning, car and an outside seating area. The site is silent at night! Not a sound, so peaceful and easy access by car to a cycle route around Ringwood. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Bed comfortable, kettle, toaster and fridge but no other equipment in the hut so need most of the camping equipment,. Shepherd's hut and facilities were clean. Showers at busy times could be cold and washing up water was never very warm. Good site for children and adopts quiet after 10 which works!

We came for two nights in our campervan. Had a bit of difficulty getting in using the app and then a lady appeared and told us to just drive in and the gate would open. She seemed to be in a rush so our initial reaction to the welcome wasn't great to be fair. However the site itself more than made up for it - the pitches are massive we could have fit two big tents in there they were so large. The site is clean and the facilities are adequate. On the first day we didn't realise that there was a path at the back of the site that took us into Alderholt so we went on a rather treacherous hike along quite busy country lanes on foot. It would have been a better experience if we were asked if this was our first time and given information or even a leaflet about access. That said, the standard of the site was very good they even have a freezer you can use. Great for children as there is plenty of safe areas and a little area with swings and slides etc. Overall I thought that the site offers really good value for money. I would overall recommend this site.

Lovely site with a mixture of hedged and open pitches, many with electric and water, or fully serviced. Small shop. Great information room with lots of leaflets and maps for things to do. Woodland dog walk with access to woodland and paths to the village. Friendly and helpful staff. Toilet and shower were always clean and tidy. Laundry room.

We loved this park! First time visiting but won't be the last. It was quiet and very clean. All members of staff were very helpful. The gates open via ANPR which was good as we realised it would be secure.
