Overall, we had a good time

Good overall but disappointed in lack of cleaning in the lodge. Overall, we had a good time. Pods were clean and warm inside and staff were polite. However, the communal lodge wasn't cleaned the whole time we were there and bins weren't emptied. No washing up liquid to do dishes which was promised as asked. Great location, peaceful. Disappointed that the only animals to feed were the chickens when website said otherwise, like goats etc. No electric socket in pod but plenty in the lodge. With only having 4 showers for the whole site, I personally wouldn't book it in the summer as quite often queued to get one in the morning. Maybe a basic mini climbing area in the middle of the pod field? Blackpool Tower circus was a good show, especially as weather wasn't great. Would go back but not in peak season due to lack of shower facilities and kitchen area would be too small. Liked the food van on site for cooked breakfast and freshly made pizzas.

Hi, thanks again for your feedback, I really appreciate you taking the time to share it, and I'm glad to hear you had a good overall stay and enjoyed the peaceful setting (and the pizzas! 🍕). I'm really sorry about the issues you experienced in the communal lodge. That's not the standard we aim for at all. It should be cleaned and checked regularly, bins emptied, and essentials like washing up liquid always topped up, so I'll be picking this up with the team to make sure it's tightened up. In terms of the showers, you actually visited us right in the middle of a bit of a transition. We're currently removing the older loo & shower block by the Pods and replacing it with a brand new facility, which will increase the number of toilets and showers on site. Once that's in place, it should make a big difference, especially during busier periods. On the animals, just to give a bit of context, the goats are currently still in their indoor barn (away from the main site) as all the recent rain has made the ground too wet for them. The sheep were also off-site briefly while we were putting up new fencing to keep them safely in their area. They're both part of the experience here, but timing-wise you unfortunately caught us while things were being adjusted behind the scenes. Really appreciate the suggestion about a small climbing/play area too - that's exactly the kind of idea we're always open to as we keep improving the site. The best time

We had the best time, despite the rain. The staff who greeted us were really friendly and the lad working in the food hut went above any beyond by leaving us our pizza at the pod whilst we went out for a walk so it was there when we got back. Will definitely return soon.

Peaceful and calming

This is a very simple site; the heated pods are small with 2 single beds and a radiator. There's no electricity, so the light is USBcharged by the owners. You can hire more lamps, but it makes more sense to bring your own. You need to bring your own bedding and towels. There are toilets and showers in a communal wooden building, that also has a small kitchen with a kettle and microwave oven, a few dining table and sofas, and a deck with seats. Each pod has a fire pit. There's also a small shop on site and hot food available to order in the evening. The owners are lovely; really friendly and helpful :) We stayed because we were volunteering with Oxfam at the Lytham Festival, and the location was great - only a short drive away from the festival. At night, there's no light pollution, so when it's not cloudy, the stars look so bright! During the daytime, there's lots of rabbits hopping around, there are goats, geese and chickens, and the lake has a coot. We brought our own camping table, chairs and stove, but ended up not using the stove as the kitchen was close to our pod. The only reason I didn't score the facilities higher is because I didn't really know how to, other than describe them. For what they are, they're excellent; the only improvements I'd make would be to add a stool in the accessible shower, and change the position of the ramp so that it is in front of the door to the shower and kitchen. I'd also sand the top and bottom of the door, so that it doesn't stick! We will happily come back!

Amazing Experience

It was my child's first time glamping in pods and what a beautiful peaceful experience! Very Clean! Staff fantastic helped me do my 1st throw away barbecue and keep a campfire going safely and we both slept like babies! Goats, rabbits all adorable inc pple xxxx Skyla Michelle xxx

Absolutely amazing

Wow! We stayed in the lake view pod with the hot tub and loved every second. Upon arrival, we were greeted straight away and the owner is absolutely lovely! He showed us how to work the hot tub and answered all our questions. The pod is perfect and we were very toasty at night. The bed is comfy! The hot tub was a dream and stayed hot the entire 2 and half hours we relaxed in there. Super easy to set up as well. We bought ice cream, which was delish. The communal kitchen and bathrooms are lovely. All around the site there are animals everywhere, including tiny little baby bunnies. We fed the chicks and sheep, which was amazing!! We had a lovely walk around the lake as well and found a hidden little fairy house, which felt very magical. All in all, it was an amazing stay and we will definitely be back! I feel so relaxed. Thank you for having us! A little side note, we don't drive and got an Uber to the farm. Absolutely no hassle and was fairly cheap from Preston City Centre.

An absolutely amazing place. Ended up staying an extra night in the hot tub pod and wow, it was amazing. Defo will be back.

Our first glamping experience

Thought the site was really nice. The layout of the pods was good and there was enough space between the pods. The pods were basic but clean. The only criticism I would have would be the cleanliness of the communal areas. A nice big space to sit in, but it could be a lot cleaner. Again, showering facilities could be cleaner. I would say it's value for money and I would probably return.

Lovely site

A lovely experience. I decided on this place as it was a great way to introduce my son to camping, but without the hassle. We had the pod with radiator and it was great. He loved sleeping in his sleeping bag and cooking over a fire pit. There were no plugs so it was torchlight, and the whole experience was just what I wanted.

Great - Would recommend to anyone!

Lovely site - quiet, great views of the lake and animals on site! Staying in the bell tent was amazing, it was fabulously decorated and great value for money. Having the communal lodge on site was a lifesaver, staff were all super friendly, will be back!

Perfection!

We watched a few videos on YouTube before we went to get a feel but nothing could compare to actually being here! It has the best feel. Perfect location, super friendly, it really is the perfect place to feel zen. The shop onsite sells everything you could need, it's peaceful and great for kids,and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning.

Peaceful, cosy, lovely location

Loved our stay! Gorgeous, peaceful location. Staff on site are so lovely and welcoming. Happy to help and always check in to make sure your stay is going well. Great facilities - toilets and showers very clean. Lovely on site shop and ice cream! Only thing I would say is that the mattress need to be updated. So many different activities to do, an amazing fishing lake to do fishing, close by to Blackpool and local pubs and shops. Would recommend this place 100%! I would of loved to have stayed longer. Definitely will be back.
