Fab campisite!
Roof Tent - Hardstanding EcoGrid Pitches (Optional Electric) May 2026 loved this campsite, facilities very clean and well looked after by volunteer staff who do an amazing job. Beautiful views and 10min walk into Langholm. Thoroughly recommend 5🌟

VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) May 2026 Absolutely love this site. It’s small and has really nice feel to it. Very helpful staff from the start to the end and it’s a really clean and tidy site with a nice shower and toilet block. A short walk into the local town/village for pubs etc. We will absolutely be visiting this gem again.

Spotlessly clean site, quiet, and the location is beautiful. 10 minutes walk into town where the locals in the two pubs we visited were super friendly. Food was lovely in The Douglas Hotel too. Nice cafe just outside of the site was handy and the cost was a bonus. Highly recommended.

The shower/toilet facilities were impeccable, the best we’ve stayed at!

Single Axle Caravan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) May 2026 Perfect. Site is excellently maintained, everywhere was spotless. Including the great showers and bathrooms. A place to rinse off your bike (dog 😁) was a very nice touch. Will definitely be back. Loved every minute of it.

Motorhome - Hardstanding EcoGrid Pitches (Optional Electric) May 2026 My star rating should tell you everything.
Easy access off A7 but little road noise due to trees. £25 per night inc EHU. Immaculate and large pitches, all of which are sponsored by local firms/companies/cafes and hairdressers, which enhances the local vibe. Facilities block from outside doesn't look much but inside, is absolutely spotless. 2 huge shower cubicles for both men and women, with plenty of hot water and good pressure, best we've had in 4 years of travelling.
Inside, pot wash and a washing machine (donations go back to the rugby club). 15 minute walk into town from behind main pitch not the roadway. We will definitely return. Thank you Langholm.

Medium Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) May 2026 A small part of me wants to give a poor review just so that the place stays as peaceful and relaxing as it was on our visit, however, that isn't the case and the site was perfect.
The grounds itself were very well maintained, dog bags everywhere so even people just out walking dogs kept the area clean. The loos, showers and sinks were immaculate. Everyone working at the site was quick to chat and offer suggestions on places to eat or nice walks, (First Bite is a brilliant lunch spot).
Even when we went for a stroll in the town one of the guys who worked in the site recognised us and stopped for a chat. Cannot recommend enough. We went mid week whilst the schools were still on, reckon it will be slightly busier during the weekend or holidays, but reckon it would still be a brilliant getaway for anyone.

Motorhome - Hardstanding EcoGrid Pitches (Optional Electric) May 2026 We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 dogs. Facilities were spotless and what a location, nice and quiet with an easy 10 minute walk into Langholm with nice pubs and really friendly locals. Would highly recommend

Well kept site. Only thing was I felt was that we were very close to our neighbours on both sides. The one man in his tent next to us spoilt it by shouting on his phone all night, but not the site's fault.
Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Lovely stay
Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Apr 2026 Lovely return visit to the Ewes Water campsite. The campsite is well positioned for exploring the Langholm area and is kept in perfect condition by the rugby club volunteers. The site toilet facilities are very clean and include excellent dish washing facilities and also a free to use washing machine. The volunteers and cleaners were extremely friendly and we were left feeling really welcome. All in all one of our favourite campsites.

Small Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Apr 2026 Great location just on the edge of town - roughly a 10 minute walk away. Good access to facilities - water tap, toilets etc. nice flat ground easy to pitch the tent on with plenty of space to park next to my tent as well

Lovely campsite with excellent facilities
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding EcoGrid Pitches (Optional Electric) Apr 2026 A great site as many have said and a good centre for several interesting road bike tours on quiet roads and good walks straight from the site. Not busy when we were there but I imagine it could be during high summer. Local people very friendly and a lovely lady who kept the facilities spotless.
We were on a "hard standing" and because it had been wet, we were allowed to put our trailer on an adjacent pitch, for which we were grateful.
My only gripe is that they allow campfires. These are anti-social and a wildfire hazard and there was one lit during a period when there was a wildfire warning for Scotland.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding EcoGrid Pitches (Optional Electric) Apr 2026 This has to be one of our favourite campsites and supports a good cause - the Langholm rugby club. Its a well laid out site and got nice touches - even providing poo bags at each pitch.
Toilets and showers are spotless. Site warden, Michael a great bloke to talk rugby with!
Great site for quiet getaway

It is quiet, well kept pitches, toilet block immaculate and friendly staff. It is just a short walk into town for a coffee, ice cream or a beer. It is a quiet area but ideal to get away for a relaxing time. Highly recommend and will be visiting again soon

Motorhome - Hardstanding EcoGrid Pitches (Optional Electric) Apr 2026 Just loved our stay at Ewes Water, and we will definitely return. This is a small site with some hardstanding (eco) pitches and optional electric.
The toilets, showers, and washing-up area were immaculate and some of the best we have seen. The location is brilliant for scenic walks and for the town centre, where there are a couple of cafes and local pubs, a Chinese takeaway, and other local shops. It is very quiet and low-key but very friendly everywhere. There was a makers market for local produce on the Saturday (I believe this is monthly) that we were happy to support. The pies were amazing!
From the site, there was plenty of space to exercise our dogs and off-road walking into town. Our pooches were thoroughly spoiled. A few vehicles got stuck in the soft grass pitches but we were there during Storm Dave, and those on the firmer eco pitches were fine.
