Lovely campsite a stone's throw from Inverness

Lovely campsite on the edge of the Beauly Firth, a short drive from Inverness. Everything you could possibly need for a short stay. Only slight downside were the toilet facilities were looking a little bit tired and could do with an upgrade, otherwise fine.

Not very good

The site looks rundown and not very welcoming, the shower could do with refurbishing.

Yes, I agree entirely it was a cold wet day with a poor forecast and the park looks very uninviting with snow and sleet at any time. I always welcome customers despite the weather but cannot provide idyllic conditions. Nobody has ever given a 1 star view for the location in the last 20 years and all the facilities are cleaned to a very high standard every day, I do not therefore consider all of your 1 star ratings to be accurate. The showers have been renovated, new roof, gutters, insulation to roof and about £10k on tiles, partitions etc. the 'old fashioned' chain operated showers give you unlimited hot water and are are much admired by most.

Lovely place

Great place to start our NC500 trip, the only complaint I have is the ladies shower room door doesn't close, it was blowing a gale though it.

Cold March overnight

Warm welcome from the proprietor, excellent spot on the firth. Clean toilets and good easy to use facilities.

Great spot for a stay, some beautiful views and you get to choose your own pitch.

Fantastic location and stay

Very relaxing place to stay and with beautiful scenery. Stayed next to the loch and was an exceptional place. Friendly and helpful service. Will definitely stay there again.

The site was clean and well maintained. The view was excellent. The toilets were clean, can't comment on the showers, as didn't use them.

Great campsite

The gentleman (I assume owner?) who checked us in was so lovely, instant good vibe for the campsite! We were a non-electric tent pitch and were lucky enough to get a spot right at the water. What a view! So many birds. The facilities were great, I liked that the showers and toilets were separated. Theres a bus stop right outside which we took into Inverness one night so we could both indulge in the local beer and whiskey. Really brilliant location! Can recommend Black Isle Brewery for beer and pizza!

Excellent stay!

This campsite was excellent! Great views, we managed to get a prime spot next to the river and sea! The owner was super friendly and great facilities. Super quiet relaxing site.

Great location and fantastic host

Great location outside of Inverness with the most charming and helpful host. He recommended a great spot and gave weather warnings, then ensured nobody was having trouble by cycling through a little later. Lovely place and will be returning.

Great location

Ideal start to NC500. Scenic location, friendly welcome. Sadly toilet/shower facilities need upgrading and need a deep clean, especially above head in the rafters. Beware, the step outside of the facilities cannot be seen in the dark, a definite trip hazard, so recommend that at least a solar light is installed to help guide the way. Would recommend the campsite if using self contained motorhome or camper.

One noisy night

Was not impressed with this campsite. Very poor facilities with only 4 showers with ancient pull chains (never seen these before). Washing pots facility very old, no plugs. Not the campsites fault I suppose, but people were playing really loud music the whole evening until 11, so unable to relax then neighbours loud chatting until 5am.
