About the site

Close enough to get back to civilisation, Brick Kiln is well off the beaten track and offers respite from busy lives. Surrounded by fields along a quiet country lane, your only complaint might be the early morning birdsong! It is an ideal place to unwind and relax, get some respite from the bustle of everyday life and enjoy the fresh air. Tents, motorhomes and caravans (no electric hookup), cyclists, motorbikes and backpackers are all welcome. The campsite is flat with well-marked pitches allocated to you on arrival, spread across two well-maintained and spacious fields - 'Guy's Field' and a garden area. Every pitch includes a fire pit and shared facilities are nearby, including hot showers open all day and a kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee machine and cutlery and crockery. Ideally situated for the coast and local market towns - Framlingham, Orford, Woodbridge and Sutton Hoo. An ideal base to explore this part of the east coast of Suffolk. You're just a ten-minute walk across the field to the village with a fantastic pub and shop. The site is also home to a cosy reading, games and bric-a-brac hut with a spacious undercover seating area for rainy days or to escape the heat. There is also an onsite honesty shop with firewood available for the fire pits. Open campfires and disposable BBQs are not permitted. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times. No music, TVs, or radios are allowed due to it being a quiet site, unless listening through headphones.

Brick Kiln Farm Campsite is open from 01/05 to 26/09. Stay from £35/night for 2 people (2-night minimum).

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

Great place with lots of space... It allowed our dog space to relax and not feel like other dogs were too close. Clean facilities and loved the honesty shop. The only thing missing for me was a mop or squeegy to clean the shower once used in busy conditions. I hated not being able to remove the seeds that came in with me before the other person came in.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

I only stayed here one night but I really enjoyed my stay. Flat grass pitches and the grass was nice and short. The owner was very friendly when I arrived. The toilets and showers were immaculate. The little shop and kitchen were thoughtfully set out with some nice touches. Couldn't ask for more really, great site.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

We stayed at Brick Kiln Farm for one night as we toured Suffolk & Norfolk. We were warmly greeted and were able to pick our own pitch as there were not many visitors at the time. The site was very peaceful and facilities were plentiful (including fire pits and an honesty shop which was a nice touch). Personally I would have liked a view of the surrounding fields which was obscured by the hedges. Overall a charming little site.

Site's response

Thank you for your kind review. Even during busy times you are welcome to select your own pitch. I want to create a peaceful site and believe I have achieved this. Having views of the surrounding fields can be achieved if I removed the hedge entirely. The hedge is lovely for nesting birds and is home for many little animals. It also protects from the East wind and rain as - believe it or not - we are quite high up here and when the weather turns, it is keenly felt. The hedge is cut on a yearly basis but has grown very quickly this year. It will be cut back in the autumn but I will never have it too low as it offers protection. At least you only have to walk down the drive to see and experience the beautiful farmland around.
