About the site
Set amongst rolling hills on the Wales border, the site offers a peaceful place to relax by the River Lugg, just five minutes from the market town of Presteigne (Wales' first International Dark Sky Community). Surrounded by woodlands, countryside and riverside scenery, the park is a great base for exploring Mid Wales. Guests can choose from a variety of non electric grass pitches. Smaller tent pitches measure 4m x 5m and are suitable for tents and trailer tents, while other non electric grass pitches measure 3m x 5m and welcome tents, roof tents, campervans and caravans. Electric grass pitches are also available. The electric tent pitches measure 4m x 5m and include 16 amp electric hook-ups. For extra space and riverside views, the electric grass riverside pitches measure 9m x 9m and also include 16 amp electric hook-ups, suitable for tents, campervans and caravans. Tourers can stay on hardstanding pitches measuring 5m x 8m, complete with 16 amp electric hook-ups and a service bollard with a night light. Fully serviced hardstanding touring pitches measure 5m x 10m and include 16 amp electric, water, grey waste drainage and a TV aerial connection. There is plenty to enjoy around the park too. Guests can try free fishing along the River Lugg, wander through the sculpture gardens or relax in the communal stargazing dome with its telescope. Thanks to the area's dark skies, clear evenings are perfect for spotting stars overhead. Dogs are welcome too, with up to two allowed per pitch. There is a secure off-lead exercise area onsite, along with a handy doggy shower for muddy paws after countryside walks. BBQs are welcome as long as they are raised safely off the ground. Open fires are not permitted.
