Small and lovely campsite

Lovely campsite, was a good atmosphere and was super clean. Three things to be aware of is that the campsite itself is very small, so you can't really wall around it or anything like that. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just hadn't realised. The second thing is that there is quite a lot of road noise, with a busy road right alongside the campsite. It was particularly bad for us because we were up against the fence - if you were further in you probably wouldn't notice it. Third, there are only two showers (one for each gender). This was fine because the site was so small but you did have to time your shower.

Fallen in love with camping

I booked this as an alternative to regular accommodation as my dogs were entered at bath dog show my daughter has a campervan and it was too late to find anywhere affordable . I wasn’t expecting much but l really enjoyed myself the facilities were spotless , the pitches were well thought out with the covered fences that were great for privacy for the dogs . They really enjoyed it and it was so hot both myself and the dogs slept outside on the grass one night behind a windbreak and felt totally safe . There was even a little playground for my granddaughter which she loved. We had booked 3 nights but arrived a day late Saturday instead of Friday due to engine trouble and the show was Monday so wanted to stay another night as was a long drive back to Leeds. The owner kindly let us stay the monday night for free saying we paid 3 nights so we could have 3 nights even though our booking was Friday-Monday. It’s our 1st experience camping and we loved it l have done Bath show 3 years running now and will definitely be booking here again next year . I never thought to take photos only ones I’ve got is the dogs early the morning we slept outside on the grass lol they loved it after a busy day at the show where they both qualified for Crufts!

Well laid out campsite with everything you need

Lovely, little site with well marked pitches. Plenty of freshwater taps, so easy to fill up our motorhome on the pitch using our hose. Our only negative comment was the traffic noise, but this is not something the site can do anything about. It didn't bother us too much in our Motorhome, but under canvas, it could be quite noisy.

Lovely break

Really lovely little place - the kids enjoyed the play park. It’s small and quiet and we tried to ensure our children were quiet. If you like peace and quiet you’ll like it here, there is a main road nearby but you soon block it out.

Great Campsite

Great campsite in a good location. Tucked away and felt very safe. The facilities were modern and clean and the grounds were well kept. Ady the owner was lovely and very accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely small, family-run site

We absolutely love Littleton and Ady is a wonderful host. The facilities are very clean, our kids love the playground, and its great value. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby too. We'll definitely be back soon!

Amazing stay

We stayed for 2 nights with 2 other families and we all had such a wonderful time, toilets and showers are very clean, the bloke who owns it is super helpful and we felt really safe with our kids being there! Such a good price for this site will definitely be back!

100% recommend

My son and I have just had the best weekend away staying at Littleton Retreat. We camped on this site for a Longleat trip. When we arrived we were met by Ady, who was super helpful and friendly. We had a nice sized plot which we could park next to which was handy. The toilet block, showers and dishwashing area was superbly clean. All the kids played to gather lovely. It was an absolutely perfect weekend. Thank you Littleton Retreat. We will definitely be returning.

Bank holiday weekend

Thank you! We have had such a beautiful weekend on this campsite, kids loved it 🥰 Grownups loved it too! Everyone had a great time, we had everything that we needed, so we would definitely be staying again!

Very cozy

We had a mixed group travelling with us, some were seasoned campers, others were doing this for the first time. All of us thought it was an amazing site. Close enough to Trowbridge to be convenient, but also far enough to feel relaxed and away from it all. The staff were very friendly and helpful with getting us settled on site as well as providing some great recommendations for local pubs and restaurants. Would really recommend it as a base if you're looking to explore the surrounding area.

Tidy and pleasy

Really happy with the facilities, cleanliness and customer service. It is near a couple of main roads, so was a little noisy, but that was ok when we got used to it.

Lovely little site

A lovely well kept site, Aidy the owner was very helpful with local information and suggested dog walks. Would definitely stay there again.

First camper trip for us

First time in our new campervan, didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised with the site and the welcome we received. All facilities were excellent, site was cleaned very tidy. Road noise could be a factor to some people but being close to a main road and a town it is to expected. Would definitely recommend and return. Thanks Littleton Retreat.

The site is fairly new but is beautifully laid out

We were met by the owner and shown to a perfect pitch with a picnic bench. The site is very clean and tidy. What more can one ask for on a campsite!

Pleasant in almost everything, except a bit noisy

We had a wonderful stay, and our host was a very sympathetic person, with lots of humour and very helpful. But he can't help that there are two roads nearby, and that that commuters (?) start driving before 7am. Alas. But the campsite is was very good. Clean, spacey, organised, what to expect more?

Spotlessly clean

A small campsite. Most of the pitches divided by fences and pine hedging. The owner has worked hard to keep it tidy and spotlessly clean. The ladies shower area was amazing. There was a toilet adjoining the spacious cubical and plenty of hooks for hanging stuff and a sink. There was plenty of hot water too. The owner was very welcoming and gave me advice for dog walking in the area. I would recommend this to everyone. A little gem. I will definitely return.

Littleton retreat

This is a beautiful site, extremely clean and well laid out pitches with plenty of space.The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. You are 15min walk to the canal or a 5min drive. Easy driving access for surrounding areas, Caen hill locks, Bradford on Avon, White horse, Marlborough etc.

Harassed by other camper

Stayed for the solstice, arrived Friday morning, got back to the site on Saturday morning. We were all harassed by a German guy who thought we couldn't play music. Came over to us twice to tell us it was a campsite, not a disco.

Nice site

A nice, small site, well laid out with lots of space to pitch and good facilities. Only downside is a noisy road nearby.
