Clear filters Immaculate site
VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2024 This is the cleanest and most well-run site I've ever visited. Individual toilets and individual shower rooms, all kept immaculately clean.
Well situated with a bar/restaurant only a minute's walk away, and 15 minutes' walk to the pretty village of Hamble. Site managers were hands on and kept everything well managed. I will definitely book again.
The only problem I had was I sprained my ankle on a hole/groove in the grass pitch caused by the tyres of a previous vehicle. Very painful! In fairness to the management, it couldn't be seen because the grass covered it and they were grateful when I told them about it. Apart from that, it was perfect and didn't put me off this wonderful site.

Well maintained
Single Axle Caravan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2024 Well maintained, level site with a good restaurant next door, but no play area for kids.
The site is at the end of a no through road and shares a boundary with the marina car park, so traffic noise is minimal. All the caravan pitches are level and well spaced. The toilets and showers are newish and maintained to a very high standard, as are the dish washing facilities and there's a convenient dog walk along the river.
We had a very friendly welcome and the manager was very helpful throughout our stay. The only amenity that's missing is a children's play area and ball games on the site are strictly forbidden - something for family campers to bear in mind.
The Gaff Rigger restaurant is on the other side of the marina car park and has a full menu which is good value. Dogs are not allowed inside but there are outside tables under a canopy.
Perfect place Motorhome - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2024 The entire site is very clean and the pitches are not too small. Unfortunately, the neighbouring restaurant spoils the overall impression, but that cannot be blamed on the campsite.

It's a pity that dogs are not allowed in the associated restaurant. Now off to Hamble village for dinner, it would have been a turnover of 7 evenings after all.

Motorhome - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2024 We had an excellent 2 night stay and we will be back for longer next time. Your chap at check in who showed us the pitch (Didn't catch his name) was brilliant and funny. Very pleasant as well as having a sense of humour.
Excellent site and view was fabulous looking down the Hamble River from the restaurant/bar. Pitch was nice and level with electric hook-up, we had a corner pitch which was very quiet and private. Absolutely no complaints with regards to all facilities, all very clean.
We will be back but next time it will be for longer. Lovely area with lots of pubs close to hand.
Nice quiet site

The Gaff Rigger restaurant was good and very friendly, but somewhat on the expensive side. There's not a lot on site for kids, but it would probably be okay for younger kids.

Eateries within easy walking distance, supermarket a short drive. Grass pitches. The whole site is beautifully maintained.

Motorhome - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jun 2024 Great to walk into Hamble and lots of lovely pubs with great food. Little ferry to other side £2.50 each way cash only.
Not too far to walk to Hamble Station, but walk is on road.
Easy to get to Portsmouth or Southampton by train.
Can use sailing club bar and restaurant on site, not cheap, but nice setting to sit out at night.

Friendly, helpful staff, spacious pitch and great facilities. Lovely meal at the Gaff Rigger with two complementary drinks! The sun even shone!

Single Axle Caravan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Mar 2024 Only stayed for one night to test our 'new to us' caravan. Lovely location, right by the river. Grass pitches were too wet to use so we were put on tarmac, no problems at all.
Clean toilets and washing area, would thoroughly recommend.

2 night stay
Small Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Oct 2023 Camp was ideally situated near Hamble. Pitch was a little soft and waterlogged and there was no hardstanding area for Motorhomes. Facilities were good and very clean.
Staff were okay, the welcome and service was okay, nothing wrong but compared to other sites we have visited, I felt it fell short on customer service.

Motorhome - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Oct 2023 Lovely place. Super clean facilities. Restaurant close by in the Marina. A bit pricey but the food was good. Would have gone twice but they only had a Veggie option.
20 minute walk to a whole host of good restaurants in Hamble. 2 Nights was enough without a car. Probably more we could have done if planned, but this was a spur of the moment booking, just to extend the holidays.
Just about got there before the 8pm close, but couldn't see why we couldn't have still entered the site after that time as there was no barrier. Understand that people have got to go home, but if running late but definitely going to be there, just check us in on the phone and tell us the pitch. Would have made the journey down a little less hectic.
Having said that, great place, staff were very helpful and definitely on the list for another visit.

Couple of relaxing nights Small Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Oct 2023 Lovely location right next to the yacht marina and easy access to various places such as Netley and the M27.
Toilet and shower block were first class and spotlessly clean. Can't praise facilities highly enough. Check in was very simple and the staff very friendly. Lots of room per pitch and we found a quiet corner tucked behind reception that was lovely and peaceful - just what we wanted. The yacht club has a fantastic bar with a balcony that overlooks the marina. We didn't eat there but food did look good and smelt lovely.
The only drawback was the grass where the tents were positioned was quite long in places and with the dew in the mornings, it got very wet. It seemed the wet grass attracted mites and we came away with a few bites on our lower legs. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

Single Axle Caravan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Sep 2023 2nd weekend in a row at Mercury Harbour. A great location. Many others there were repeat customers, so what better a recommendation.
Facilities are spotless. The site was full this weekend, but still quiet and relaxing.
This is on our go-to list for last minute weekends away, as so close to home, yet in another world.
