Picturesque site tucked away in a lovely part of Norfolk

Lovely small and peaceful campsite overlooking the river and marina. The facilities were regularly cleaned and close to all pitches. There was plenty of space for our children to play out and the pool was great! The onsite pub was friendly with nice food and a good selection of drinks too. We will definitely be going back! We also took the river cruise from Oulton Broad, which comes right up to the marina, so interesting to see it all from the water. Watch out for the two access roads though, they are very narrow for the last 1.5 miles. There are some small passing bays but wouldn't be any use if you met a caravan coming the other way!

Great location and everything on site within walking range

Lovely and quiet, perfect view, food perfect and having a games room for the little one (and big one, partner that is) was a bonus. The view was amazing. Service was great from the reception to the bar and meal and the swimming pool reception. I loved the fact that you can have a shower in your own room instead of having multiple cubicles. All round a fab park and will be coming back again.

Customer service was amazing!

Lovely pool which is bookable. Lovely restaurant. The marina is very beautiful. Gave us a late checkout so we could spend the day here. All staff members went out of their way for us.

Small and peaceful site with a fabulous view!

Just stayed at Waveney River Centre for 5 nights in our caravan on one of the fully serviced Kingfisher pitches. It's in such a lovely elevated position overlooking the marina and the River Waveney. There are loos and a wash-up room close to the pitches and shower rooms with WC a short walk away. And a lovely little indoor swimming pool. The facilities were all lovely and clean and the showers were nice and hot. The Waveney Inn on site was great to sit and have a drink and the food was really good - a steak from the specials board was probably the best I've had anywhere! There's a small shop in the Inn too to pick up essentials. The lanes coming into the site are single-track and tight but there are passing places and it's not very far. We were a bit unlucky and met a tractor coming the other way so had to reverse with the caravan a few yards until the farmer turned into a field. Slightly worrying but we just saw it as part of the adventure! All the staff were lovely and friendly and really helpful. I honestly can't fault this site. We will definitely be back!

Great find

Great find. Lovely location with nicely spaced pitches over looking the marina, river and marshes. Onsite facilities were very clean and tidy. All staff were very friendly and helpful particularly with dietary requirements. Short ferry ride gave access to marshes, which was great for us birdwatches. Phil, the ferry operator, gave us all information we needed so no worries about getting the ferry back. Definitely go again. The play equipment for the children was great, but would be good to have a baby swing so little ones could join in fun.

Easter break

Very disappointed with the state of the pool and changing rooms. Very dirty and very wet changing rooms. Broken facilities in the ladies changing rooms. Shower and toilets on site were ok and always warm, which was nice. Toilets very clean too. Difficult to book swimming at convenient times.

Lovely site and facilities

Stayed for 3 nights over the Easter weekend and had a lovely time. We had pitch Heron1, which was ample size for my Transit camper and awning, and was nice and flat. The facilities on site were lovely and clean with plenty of hot water. We used the swimming pool 3 times which was a good temperature for our little one and lovely and clean. We ate in the pub twice and was very satisfied with the quality and price. Keep up the great work we and will definitely be back.

Lovely for short break

Lovely long weekend over Easter. Toilet and showers were nice and clean, great swimming pool and lovely views over small marina. Small quiet site, nice restaurant, games room and bar. Singer on Sunday afternoon. Only downside is tiny one vehicle lane in and out of site, which was tight with caravan. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Great site

Really enjoyed our stay at the campsite. Nice, clean indoor pool. Staff really friendly, food at pub decent too. Facilities generally good with under floor heating in the showers which is a nice touch. Nice view of the river which is lovely to wake up to. Would definitely revisit, preferably when weather a bit warmer and then we can participate in some of the many water sports.
