Located in the peaceful village of Haunton near Tamworth in Staffordshire, Syerscote Meadow is very convenient for the NEC, and also close to Drayton Manor Park and indoor skiing at the SnowDome.

About the site

The park is set at the end of a gated lane which has minimal traffic and is a lovely place to walk or cycle. Access is easy, just a few minutes from the M42, offering convenient routes to Birmingham and the NEC. Fully serviced hardstanding pitches are extra large, well spaced and level, each with its own electric hook up point, tap and drain for grey water. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Things to do on site and in the Derbyshire area

Tamworth, once capital of ancient Mercia, is renowned for its floral displays. It's dominated by a splendid motte and bailey 12th century castle, overlooking open parkland, play areas, floral terraces and a river.

There is plenty to do in Tamworth including Drayton Manor Park, the Snowdome and Strykers bowling. Kingsbury Water Park Nature Reserve and Twycross Zoo are also nearby.

Also very close is the National Memorial Arboretum, the UK's Centre of Remembrance, which is free and open every day. Planting began in 1997 and covers 150 acres there is something for everyone, it is a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy the trees, and for some it is a beautiful and peaceful place to remember loved ones.

Calke Abbey, which is a National Trust property, is about half an hours drive away but makes a good day out, taking in lunch or shopping at Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
