Quiet and well appointed campsite with excellent dog walking opportunities, including a ten minute stroll to a wonderful 15th century pub! Criticisms? Difficult, but be warned there is no heating in the shower block, so could be a problem on a chilly day! Overall, though, a superb site to which we will most definitely return ❤️👍

Thank you for the lovely review. I am pleased you enjoyed your time here - pub and walks round here are great! Unfortunately there is minimal heating (bit of underfloor heating) in the toilet blocks as we have a limited electrical supply and my wonderful electrician would have kittens if I used any more electricity. However the long term plan is to get more solar panels to produce even more of my own electricity and then hopefully there will be warmer toilet blocks! Take care and look forward to seeing you again, Claire

Lowkey charm, well run with minimal 'supervision' and maximum calm presence. Peaceful. First camping experience for granddaughter. She loved it.

Thank you so much for your review. I am pleased you had a good time and your granddaughter enjoyed her first camping experience. I love the phrase 'low key charm' - that is exactly what I am aiming for, I just didn't have the right words. I am glad you found it peaceful - I think it is too - it is a beautiful and quiet part of Suffolk. Hope to see you again soon. Take care, Claire

A site on a smallholding with an added interest being the animals. Good facilities, clean showers with hot water. Nice surrounding walks in the wood and by the crop fields. Plenty of wildlife and lovely trees and flowers. A good location to visit places of interest. We visited Shingle Street, Orford and Aldeburgh. A nice little sandy beach at Bawdsey, much loved by the dog.

Thank you for your lovely review. I am really pleased you had a good time and liked the animals. The walks round here are really very good. My dog loves Bawdsey and Shingle Street beaches too. Hope to see you again, take care. - Claire

Lovely campsite in a very peaceful setting and very attentive host. The loos and showers are plentiful and spotlessly clean. Our only comment would be that we went in April when it was a bit fresh outside, so heating in the loos would be a real plus, as would hand driers.
Site's response
I am so pleased you had a lovely time at the campsite and thank you so much for your comment. I completely understand about heating and hand dryers. Unfortunately, we only have 2-phase electricity which means we can't really add any more electrical items until I can get some more solar panels installed - something I am working on. I will get a paper towel dispenser and experiment with that with regards to hand drying. Hope to see you again, take care - Claire.

Booked for 2 nights and then extended to a further 3 nights. Staff very helpful and the site was very clean. A good mixture of families who appeared to be having a very good time. Good games for the children and restful for adults. Lamas, goats and chickens. Lovely area and a very helpful pub 200 metres away.
Great location

Really lovely campsite with great access to some amazing walks. Lovely pub down the road, just a shame they weren't serving food when we went. Good facilities, nice large pitches and quiet. We will definitely be back!

Really great stay! Chickens amused our little one no end. Facilities clean and functional, could do with being able to shut doors to the main entrance so a bit warmer, but understand why it isn't so.
Perfect holiday!

Fantastic campsite with great facilities. Lovely to see all the animals. Location great to be able to walk or cycle to the Sorrel Horse pub for a meal or a little further to Ramsholt Arms. Lovely day out in old Felixstowe by foot ferry from Bawdsey. Thanks for a great week!

Lots of birdlife and animals (wild and farm) to watch, lovely food served in Pub nearby. Clean and tidy shower/toilet block but could do with hand dryers or paper towels.

Such a cute, small campsite, within easy walk of a lovely local pub. Shower block is new and very clean. The only thing I would say is there is no means of drying your hands after the using the loo. Obviously you don't always visit the loo with a towel, only in the morning and evening. There is no Wi-Fi, which in a way is nice, but there is no reception either, so hard to communicate with the outside world. This meant driving out of the campsite for a while. Lots of space for each pitch. We will come back :)

We enjoyed staying at this quiet, small, out of the way campsite. It was nice to see the chickens, pigs, and the goats so well cared for. The Café is closed, but with some help onsite, it would greatly add to the atmosphere of the place. A few more onsite groceries would be greatly appreciated, like milk, bread, and fruit. The new toilet block was beautifully kept and the showers were amazing.
Very lovely stay

Lovely campsite. The shower and toilet block are modern, up-to-date, and always clean. There was plenty of information about the site and my plot was super easy to find due to the pre-arrival information and the map provided. I stayed on a non-electrical pitch, which was spacious and right for me. I would recommend it and stay here again if I am in the area again!
Beautiful campsite, will return!

It was in a lovely rural location. The toilets and showers were kept immaculate by James the owner. There is only a pub in the village that serves good, reasonably priced food. It could be better if one of the fields was kept for adults only. A party of 4 or 5 families arrived with lots of children, and had a really good time, but in my opinion seemed like it spoiled it for the older campers because they took over a third of the field playing games. Apart from that, it was most enjoyable.

Lovely stay in a quiet location. Good toilet and shower facilities. Bought sausages from the site which were lovely. Allows fire pits. Goats as neighbours were entertaining. Chickens visit everyone which we liked. Would return to the site.

Such a beautiful campsite. It had everything you need for camping as well as stunning surroundings for beautiful walks. James was very helpful at every interaction. We would happily stay again with our children and more than happy to recommend to our friends and family.

Lovely and peaceful camping. Feeding time for their animals was fun and hearing James talk through his animals was a treat. Their website about the local area is also very useful and informative. Walking straight from campsite.
