Site aerial

Bwch yn Uchaf is set in the heart of Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park and within a 30 minute walk of Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake), making it a great base for outdoor adventures. With almost no light pollution, the site offers some amazing starry night skies and you can pitch where you like, even next to the river! Little ones will love the play park, splashing in the River Twrch and the charming chug of Bala Lake Railway next door. Dog friendly too.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2022

This is a lovely place to stay at and we will be going back to it. There are only two points that I would say could be better. First is the long walk to the shower block, but once there it's very clean. The second is that there could be more bins down nearer the tent site and not just the campers' site. Other than that it's a very good place to stay. We are planning our next trip there now.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2022

We had a lovely stay at the campsite. The location was peaceful and scenic, and we were allowed to pitch up wherever we chose. The facilities were amazing (toilets and showers) and very clean. The location allowed us to explore both inland and the coast and the price was half of what the nearest campsite was. We saw a heron stood in the river by the pitch and incredible sunsets over the hills in the distance.. highly recommend the site, we will be back.
