First time at Nantcol

Stayed for a few nights and it was an amazing place. Staff were very friendly and helpful. All facilities was very clean and easy to locate. Surroundings are beautiful and the waterfalls are a must see. Plenty of trails for hiking and plenty of rest stops, should you need it. Met a lot of people on the site and many have been to Nantcol before. I will definitely be booking again. Wish I stayed for a week instead of a few days. On site shop should you need any essentials you may have forgotten. Electric hook up pitch was a very good size for my car and tent with still room for relaxing outside.

Excellent stay

Loved our very first camping trip here. Scenery was beautiful. Lovely walks, will definitely be back again.

Lovely campsite

The staff are great, want you to have a nice time. Good clean facilities and great walks around. The Wi-Fi you have to pay for £10 a week for one phone. The signal, however, is very hit and miss, very weak. Wasn't worth the money for certain but I needed to keep in touch with family.

Highly recommend

Stayed for two nights, campsite is set in beautiful surroundings with plenty of little walks to go on! Staff are friendly and the toilets and showers are super clean! Would definitely return!

Wonderful site, just fantastic

As we pulled in the, first impression was good. Clean and welcoming and in a wonderful setting. Once we had checked in with the lovely and friendly staff, we parked up. Good field and not overcrowded, but then we went for a wander. The site is surrounded by beautiful countryside and once you walk up the top the views are stunning, also the waterfalls which run along side the walk are just mesmerising. We are going to return soon and this time we will be bringing the dogs as they would love it. Toilet block was spotless and facilities all looked ideal too. Cannot recommend this site enough.

Amazing place. I saw birds I've never seen before. So quiet and peaceful.

1st time that I've been camping for a very long time. Staff very friendly, the site was in a beautiful location, and the views are fantastic. Would definitely go again.

Beautiful site with great facilities

This is a real gem of a site. Beautiful setting right near the falls. Plenty of local walks. Staff helpful and friendly. Good facilities. Bargain!

Perfect for a family getaway

Fantastic for a 2 night break with my wife and 3 year old son. Clean and accessible facilities in a beautiful setting and we enjoyed several explorations through the surrounding walks. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended for a family break!

Great all around campsite

Really good campsite, great walks directly from the campsite and great local attractions within short driving distance.

Lovely site and staff

Lovely little campsite in a lovely area. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. We took a six person tent and large car and there was space for another two tents and cars on our pitch so lots of space to move. Close to a couple of nice pubs, the beach, a lovely waterfall walk on site and only an hour from Snowdon.

Great location and facilities, ruined by noise

Having been to this area multiple times, we stayed here for the first time - and while the site is amazing with great location and views, it's spoilt by a small number of loud and disrespectful campers. It was so bad we actually left a day early as it was impossible to relax and sleep! Such a shame, as the facilities are great - but if you're after a relaxing campsite, this isn't it.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate the positives in your review, location, views and facilities, however the bane of all campsite owners is to ensure that all enjoy the experience. We clearly state what we expect of every camper 'to respect your fellow camper' by obeying a few common sense rules which are clearly given to all who stay at Nantcol. However, we are disappointed that we hear about this issue through a review platform and that we were not given a chance to approach the issue and sort, as I can assure you, this would have been done promptly thus allowing you to enjoy your break to it's entirety. We are approachable 24 hours a day either on site during operating hours or mobile, landline or e-mail out of hours and this information is given to every Camper. To avoid any disturbances or issues, we need to work together!

Great location and customer service. Run by a family it had a nice friendly feel. Lovely to hear Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 spoken. I loved my stay.

Our stay

Although my stay was reduced to two nights due to bad weather, I cannot fault anything about Nantcol (except I had a bit of bother with the shower card). The area is absolutely beautiful and the staff very friendly. I hope to come back one day.

Fantastic site

We really enjoyed our stay at this site. The facilities were excellent. Showers amazing, private water so a small fee of 50p was payable but well worth it!!! Good sized pitch. We were on pitch no 2 and would ask for that one again. Lovely grounds and walks to the waterfall and woodlands. The owner and her family are really nice and wanted to make sure our stay was good. There is also firepits available, again for a small fee. Lovely picnic areas around the site. Really lovely.

It's really nice clean and beautiful campsite and really calm place, we really enjoyed.

Wonderful break!

We travelled to Nantcol for a couple nights. It was everything we wanted! The area was tranquil, quiet & surrounded by hills, woodlands and streams. The campsite was clean, tidy and although we didn't use them, the shower facilities were clean too. There was a stream that ran through the campsite which was refreshing to take a dip in. The hike up to the top of the waterfalls was hard in some parts, but the views were spectacular! We stayed in a luxury pod. It was cosy, warm, clean, the bed was comfy and the bathroom and kitchen area had everything we needed. The fire pit and outdoor seating made the evenings nice and relaxed. All the other campers were friendly & the owners were wonderful. We will absolutely be returning!! Thank you for a wonderful break and the welcome package!
