Beautiful location, we heard that there was quite a bit of history to the site and it would have been lovely to have had pointers etc to say about the history of the site, ie, used to be a site during WW2, and that some of the film, The Wicker Man was filmed. There was no hot water in the toilet facilities for the first two days of our stay. We used the Jacuzzi, health and safety needs to be upgraded, for example stating / signs to say where to access the steps in! Anti-slip mats and anti-slip put on the sides where you access and leave. Only one shower had hot water and I had to remove all my shower products from one to the other and took quite a while for the hot water to come through, and then it got too hot! Staff were friendly especially the young man at the bar who was fantastic, so friendly, accommodating, engaged in conversation - cannot praise him enough, so much so we are going to stay in touch. We came for breakfast on the Tuesday morning and both members of staff were brilliant and could not do enough, friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, we had contact with an older lady and her husband in the café and could not say the same, the older guy was ok but the woman made us feel that we were a nuisance, she was moaning all the time behind the counter of the café about how she was not happy with the company! She was miserable and quite frankly, she was unapproachable and made us feel like just cancelling our order and leaving. We so impressed and thrilled that our little dog was able to come with us into the bar, otherwise we would not have used this facility as we would not leave her alone, so that is a 10 out of 10 for us. We had a lovely stay, just did not realise how far away we were from a Supermarket. Also the bumph you give to holiday makers can be improved with telephone numbers, reception opening times, café opening times and bar opening times. Just more information, rather than have to find out for yourself. Thank you.

Very well maintained site, lawns cut lovely. We didn't make the most of the facilities but we did play crazy golf which was free, and went in the arcade at night. There was bingo both nights and a Rod Stewart tribute Saturday night although we missed it. Right on the coast sea front. Very scenic. We walked towards St Ninian's Caves, but you can walk the other way to Isle of Whithorn. We were beside the football pitch and our son did make friends with another boy to play football, which was nice.

We are pleased that you enjoyed using some of our facilities and one of the walks we are fortunate to have on our site. Stunning views. Of the 2 day stay, we endured 11 hrs of power cuts, one included almost 9.5 hours overnight leaving us freezing with no power to heat or cook, not even make a cuppa. Food area was dated and bitterly cold. Showers very clean. Be aware you may be charged roaming data welcoming you to the Isle of Man! Pub staff were welcoming and the kids club seemed to be great fun for those younger. Facility Wi-Fi was very weak, unless in the clubhouse. An onsite shop with at least a few basics would have been good. Gutted 😢
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are sorry that you experienced the power cuts - the combined rain and wind meant weather conditions were terrible and our team worked hard to restore power as quickly as possible. The weather conditions also affected some of our Wi-Fi signals resulting in the weakness you experienced. We are pleased that you found the showers to be clean and the bar and kid's club welcoming. We do have a small shop in our Reception and plan to open a larger shop within the Cafe area.

Lovely site with great views, lost power at about 6:30pm on Friday, reported to staff, got power back at 8am Saturday. Several vans in the same predicament. To be fair, the weather on Friday evening was horrendous which probably didn't help.
