The best site we have visited in the UK

This site’s attention to detail is first class. With the added benefit of a sauna. Everything was very clean and tidy. The grounds are neat and well kept. Someone has actually thought about what’s needed on a site to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. For example having electricity and water on each pitch we particularly liked. All pitches are a good size and nicely spaced. When the trees and hedges grow there will be a good amount of privacy too. Booking our visit couldn’t have been easier. The communication afterwards was clear and we weren’t bombarded with many emails. We loved it so much we booked the next night. We will definitely be back. We took our bikes and a short ride of 2 miles took us on an orbital route around York. We can recommend the Derwent Arms for Sunday lunch. It’s a short walk from the site.

Great location for York visits

Lovely new site with short walk to regular bus service to York. No 6 every 29 minutes, 15 minutes ride, throughout the whole day and evening. Derwent Arms 15 minutes walk away in quaint village of Osbaldwick, good freshly cooked food, quiz good fun on Thursdays. Really friendly warden and all new facilities. Only small niggles were having only option of warm water from sinks (I prefer cold water for teeth brushing) and 30 seconds on showers then reset. Otherwise everything perfect.

What a beautiful find

Newly opened and what a credit to owners , pitches are well sized with electric and water on , bathroom amazing with nice illuminated lights , just a little thing , would be better to have a sink and small bin in the shower area . We will definitely be back . Uber was £9 into York and the beer York Handley tap was a great little walk for liquid refreshment. Good luck with this new place

2 night trip away

Beautiful little campsite. Facilities and location are amazing couldn’t recommend more. Very happy for our first run out in the Campervan ☺️

Quiet, friendly, perfect retreat!

What a brilliant find! Spotless modern facilities, particularly the lovely showers! One night stop over, great Chinese and Sainsbury’s local within walking distance.

Great weekend

Me and my wife stayed for 2 nights would highly recommend Pub 10mins away Bus into York took around 15 minutes Will definitely be back
