Moss Side Farm Campsite sits in the beautiful southern fells of the Lake District National Park. Quietly nestled in scenic Woodland Valley, close to Coniston. Views here are second to none. This small, family-run campsite is a traditional Lakeland Hill farm with sheep, cows, horses, ducks, pigs and hens onsite. There are many beautiful footpaths leading to and from the site, as well as space to relax and explore.

We had an issue with our tent pegs going into the ground, so Louise kindly put us up in the cabin. We had a great stay and a great location for Scafell Pike. Thanks again.

Nice quiet location, lovely views. Just keep in mind there are no local amenities or pubs, the closest is a 40 mins walk (6min drive). Would stay again.

Simple and effective. Very basic, but no surprises. Toilets worked, didn’t use showers so can’t comment. Location is very lovely, host was welcoming and friendly. No issues.

Nice place, basic but with the needed facilities. Good views, remote but still accessible by car to visit the surrounding villages and lakes.

Really superb camping spot, with friendly animals to keep us company. The toilets and showers were mostly clean, although hot water could have run a bit longer in the showers. Liked that we could walk to the village and enjoyed having our own fire pit. Incredible views across the valley.

Excellent site for those looking for a nice quiet getaway. Great host, great location, and lovely walks to a decent pub or 2. Site is basic, but does have toilets,shower and washing pot area, but don't expect hotel luxury, this is a working farm with ducks, geese and even the odd goat or two. Perfect for those quiet, fire by the campsite nights and will be going back soon.

Definitely would recommend had an excellent stay. Was mine and my boyfriends first time camping and the site was amazing. Had everything we needed.

Fab place, very relaxed and friendly. Facilities were fine, but the best part was the lovely views. Got to keep dogs on a lead but a few of the owners dogs roam around.

Absolutely loved it, lovely quiet site, good showers, clean washing up area and the farm animals wandering round added to the enjoyment. Views from the site were amazing and it was a lovely quiet site also. Will definitely be returning.

The site is quiet, the host was friendly & helpful. For the price, I was expecting hot showers but I couldn't find them, just stone cold water.

Lovely farm site with absolutely stunning views. The site is a quiet site no load noise after 10.30pm. Goats, chickens, ducks and the farms dogs roam freely and all know how to beg for food. Facilities are basic but very clean and there is a hot water washing up area. I will definitely want to visit again.

Lovely site. Great owners to meet and greet you when you arrive and gave details of the areas to visit, very friendly. Would be nice to have shower curtains as I'm a little shy.

We have lovely shower curtains in the shower block!! You must have looked into the old shower room!! No shower heads, water, pipes or curtains!! Ohh dear!! You should have said something 🤭

Lovely campsite situated in lakes, short drive to lots of lovely walks and tourist attractions as well as the coast. Great views looking out over countryside. Proper loos and warm showers. The homemade beef burgers bought from the farm were delicious too!

Really enjoyed our stay! The farm and campsite were gorgeous. There was a welcoming and friendly feel to the place, everyone was lovely. We loved all friendly dogs, including the campsite warden!

Superb no frills farm campsite in a stunning location, secluded, picturesque pitch spots - beautiful views... A very warm welcome was given & there was a very welcoming, relaxed feel about the place & the owners. Facilities are basic, but perfectly adequate. There is somewhere to wash pots & nice warm showers. Exactly the kind of campsite I love. Please. Don't change a thing! 🙂
