Low Greenside Farm Campsite is a peaceful, eco-friendly, family-owned site in the Westmorland Dales, central to the Lake District and Dales. Spacious pitches with individual fire pits are set around a wildflower meadow with lots of room to relax and play. Fabulous views and dark starry skies, plus cosy glamping in a separate field with private amenities. Great choice of walks from the site, a short stroll to two village pubs. Dogs welcome.

We had a lovely stay here. The campsite has great views and is very picturesque. No cars are allowed on the field, so wheelbarrows are provided for carrying your things. Each pitch has a fire pit which is great. The toilets, showers and washing up facilities were great, lovely and modern and clean - no matter what time we used them. There were good recycling options which was good to see and helped reduce our waste. There are lots of lovely walks nearby and we found a short walk through fields to the village where there are two lovely pubs. Great site, we would stay again.

Great site. Bins were full and had not been emptied while we were there. Some campers near us were noisy at around 20.00 'til 23.00. And one camper was playing his music all day and into the evening.

Please do let us know if you find anything amiss here, especially noise. We're very grateful to be told about anything that's escaped our attention and happy to sort it out at once. It was a busy Bank Holiday weekend and the bins did fill up quickly a number of times so I'm guessing this gave the impression they hadn't been emptied. I hope you weren't inconvenienced and please accept our apologies if so. Hope to see you again sometime.

Swallows, cuckoo and curlew

We really rated this and am so glad to have discovered it. Lots of really helpful and generous features like the charging lockers, big pitches, the meadow grass etc. Magnus and family are super helpful. For those who care: there were swallows, ravens, oystercatchers , curlew and loads more. We even heard a cuckoo. We'll be back.

It's almost June and the best time to visit the spectacular wildflower meadows at Bowberhead Nature Reserve, a mile or so from the campsite, and the Coronation Meadow Open Days in Ravenstonedale (even closer to the campsite). A special treat for anyone interested in nature! So glad you enjoyed your visit and we look forward to seeing you again. PS. There was a raven in the garden this morning!

We were very happy with the choice we made to come to Low Greenside Farm. Service was exceptional with speedy email replies whenever I had any questions about our stay (pre-visit). Owners make the effort to get to know and help their visitors. Facilities were more than adequate for a camping site. Roughly 10 minute drive away from the town where there's little grocery shops, petrol stations and pubs. There was nothing extra I could've asked for apart from better weather, but of course that's out of anyone's control. Stunning site, I will be back when the weather is brighter! Magnus greeted us at reception he was so warm and excited for us to be heading down to the Green Bell glamping tent , the most private part of his site. Magnus gave us all the information we needed and was an excellent host. The Green Bell was just beautiful , so spacious and comfortable, careful thought had gone into the interior design, we loved it all. The private toilet and kitchen were excellent too, we felt very safe and instantly relaxed. The outside space was stunning , the scenery, starry night sky, wildflowers, trees etc etc. We couldn't fault anything about this experience, it was a complete joy. Thank you very much for a wonderful time.

What a little gem this campsite is! The yurt is just beautiful and situated at the far end of the campsite with private entrance and garden, complete with the most amazing hammock! The sheep are adorable and super friendly (just keep a close eye on your snacks 😉) The camp kitchen and washing up area are quirky, eco friendly and perfectly functional. The shower block was spotless and the showers spacious and powerful. When we hit a little wet weather, the yurt was the perfect place to cosy up with a fire and the fairy lights are a lovely touch. Magnus has thought of everything and made this a perfect getaway. We will definitely be back!

Stopped overnight on the way to Scotland. Excellent site beautiful views and very helpful owner. Easy walk to two dog friendly pubs. Best showers of anywhere we’ve been!

This campsite is far the best I've stayed on in the Lakes. If you want a quiet retreat and just chill out with no mither and no noise, this is the place to go. All the facilities you need and more. It's my new little piece of heaven, this place.

We loved it. Great little campsite. Nice and friendly and family orientated. Will be back very soon. Could do with a little shop on site with the basics, and local cows milk would a great idea.

This is probably the best campsite I have stayed on. I love the idea that you park your car up and leave it there. You then use one of the wheelbarrows provided and use that to transport your camping equipment. The campsite isn't big so you don't have far to go to pitch your tent and have wonderful scenery 360. The showers and toilets are immaculate. There's a fridge, freezer and charging lockers for your phone. Each pitch has a fire pit and you can purchase logs from the farmhouse. The sunsets are amazing and the wildlife is abundant. There's two very good local pubs in the nearby village. This truly is a wee gem of a site.

This was our first family camping trip, four children between 16 - 8 and two Labradors. We all really enjoyed our time at the campsite and cannot recommend highly enough the cleanliness and facilities available. The location between both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District made it easy to visit both areas in a short period of time. All in all, a very nice, quiet and well situated site.

This was our first camping experience as a family of 4 and we absolutely loved this site. The facilities were lovely and clean and it was a lovely quiet site! The standard of service from Magnus was fabulous. We will definitely be visiting again.

Delightful campsite. Could have so easily crammed in more tents, but even when full there is a large amount of free space between pitches making the place feel very peaceful. Fantastic facilities too, very clean and well thought out! We will be back.

We could not fault our stay here. Magnus and his team were very friendly and helpful. The facilities are superb and quite modern, with an eco ethic too. The site was well kept and very green, family friendly, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The site has 2 pubs nearby and dozens of great walks.

We have had a fantastic few days at the yurt. The inside was cosy, spacious and warm. We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen for food preparation and we appreciated that all the utensils were supplied. The yurt, private toilet and communal shower area were clean and easy to use. The firepit was a great addition and we really enjoyed cooking on it and spending time in the private area around the yurt. Lastly, the owner Magnus and the staff that worked there were super friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. We have already recommended the yurt to our family and friends and cannot wait to return soon. Thank you for everything.

What a gorgeous relaxed site with stunning views and campfires. We stayed three nights and had a fire every night despite the dodgy weather. The compost toilets, showers and other facilities were very clean and magnus was a lovely friendly host. We will definitely be back!
